LeBron for the first time can’t get up to play. Well, neither can anyone on our team but our leader or leaders (AD) couldn’t really get it going. Chalk it up to no fans, motivation because of clinching the #1 seed, or just basically no rhythm after the hiatus but regardless, this is the first time I thought, LeBron is showing his age. Getting into the new normal or Revving up for the playoffs are done. We need something to click as soon as we are on that floor.

I’ve been told that they’ve made strides and the Nuggets game was a step in the right direction. To me those are just excuses and people trying to keep that pre hiatus hope alive.

I get it, the homer in me says we can win it all because we have LeBron and AD but really, their recent play has not backed that up. Guess we’ll see because it starts tomorrow.

Not very confident....If this would have been the regular season and no covid...yes I was much more confident. But this new format, no Avery...I think it totally set us back...we may reach the WC finals...but that's as far as I think this team can go.

I'm confident, Bradley is a big loss but there are enough decent players on this team to get it done.

I have a feeling they were super bored after clinching #1. LBJ's Finals teams usually wrapped up #1 early and then downshifted towards the end of the season. Then they explode in the playoffs.

The Bucks, Clips, Lakers really didn't fare well in the bubble. Why go 100% for...no reason?

Makes sense and to be honest, the losses don’t bother to me as much as shots not going down. They definitely were coasting but even so, at 80% of their effort it would be nice to see some shots go down.

Exactly. Not worried about our "poor" play

I would worry a bit more if they lost the Clippers game. They clearly took their foot off the gas pedal after that game. It just looked extra bad because of the horrific shooting.

On another note, I get that it’s a different dynamic with the bubble but I don’t remember the last time a 1 seed with this kind of road dominance was this disrespected.

It feels like many of the national media and even some players are picking the Blazers. I still think Lakers win in 6 but I’m sure in the eyes of others they see kind of an average supporting cast and no home court advantage. The grinding Lakers win a lot but a lot of the time yeah it isn’t pretty.

Looking forward to seeing if the scrappy underdog Lakers can make a series of it with the juggernaut Blazers. Stranger things have happened. #WeBelieve

I'm just hoping we can win at least 1 game.

Can we smuggle AB into the playoffs, wearing a Rondo face mask?

Good Analysis..!

The general consensus of sportswriters are picking the Clippers and/or Bucks over the Lakers to win the championship. And it has nothing to do with LeBron or LA bias and everything to do the role-players, or in the Lakers case - a lack thereof...

25% chance of winning, 75% chance they won't...!

Avery's defense and his ability to hit the mid-range shot is a big loss. With all pieces in place and healthy Lakers had a great shot, but now weakened and the chances go down significantly. Someone unexpected is going to have to do something crazy for this team to win it.

This championship won't be the same anyway as winning one with an 82 game season under normal circumstances. It will be an asterisk championship. But still much rather see the Bucks win than the Clippers but if not the Lakers then ideally some underdog team like the Raptors pulls it off.

I hate to agree with that assessment but I do. I just don't think we're good enough to "turn on the switch." Our role players have been pretty bad in the bubble. And I don't know if these games just feel like pick up games...but a lot of players are hitting 3's that usually don't in games attended with fans. You always here about players that shoot well in practice but can't do it in real games..well I see it now in these games...that's why I think the Clippers have the best shot in the west also teams like Houston, Denver and even Portland

I'm about to slit my wrists at this point in the thread, Geawd. I haven't watched the bubble much because I had zero desire and I've been hoping it would feel different if the games counted, but damn, you guys are saying we look like crap.

Here's an idea for a new thread:

"Win the first round of the playoffs?"

Some analyst said other teams superstars can have Bad games and still win. Lakers cannot win it all if lebron or ad have bad games plus no one else steps up. I would even say bucks can’t win it all but they got better shooters. Everybody else has depth except us because the lack of shooters. I still think lakers win this series but 2nd round exit is very likely.
