I don’t think it’s serious enough to put him out for the season, at least based off of the initial info |

Might be his best year.
So who's our ace now? Who starts game 1, game 7, Wild Card, game 163?
Has Scherzer passed up Buehler? |

Yeah, Roberts said he might be back in the lineup tomorrow. On the post game show they said it shouldn't have an effect on him for the remainder of the season. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Cody Bellinger has a fractured rib.

Cody Bellinger has a non-displaced fracture somewhere in his ribs.
Something Dave Roberts said that he does not believe will get worse with him playing, but it is keeping him out of the game.

Problem is all our outfielders have been bitten by the injury bug but ideally Cody is utilized as a late inning defensive repalcement or pinch runner. That's the only way this 2021 version of Bellinger still adds value to LA. |

No question. Max is our Ace. Additionally at this point Urias is more steady than Buehler. |

If they don't deduct points because he was traded, then he should win it and it's really not even freaking close imo. _________________ KOBE |

Same league, so they won't!
Since being traded: 9 starts, 58 IP 6-0 0.78 ERA 0.66 WHIP 12.3 K/9 .150 BAA |

Scherzer is the clear #1 on this team. He's on an insane run right now. Hope he keeps it up. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Max is unreal man. It’s so great having him on the team.
Only question is can we keep him longer term. Hope so. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

My first question is, can/will he keep this up in the playoffs.
His career reg season numbers have been better than his career postseason numbers. He hasn't been bad in the playoffs. But, he hasn't really been dominant either.
Reg season:
3.13 ERA
1.08 Whip
190 - 97 (66.2% winning %)
Postseason:
3.80 ERA
1.12 Whip
7-5 (58.3% winning %)
——————————-
Kershaw and Gonsolin going today. Day off tomorrow. That means we reshuffled our rotation again.
Here’s the new one:
Quote: |
9/19 - @ CIN - Kershaw/Gonsolin
9/20 - Day off
9/21 - @ COL - Urias (1)
9/22 - @ COL - Buehler (2)
9/23 - @ COL - Scherzer (3)
9/24 - @ ARI - Kershaw (4)
9/25 - @ ARI - Gonsolin (5)
9/26 - @ ARI - Urias (1)
9/27 - Day off
9/28 - vs. SD - Buehler (2)
9/29 - vs. SD - Scherzer (3)
9/30 - vs. SD - Kershaw (4)
10/1 - vs. MIL - Gonsolin (5)
10/2 - vs. MIL - Urias (1)
10/3 - vs. MIL - Buehler (2)
Game 163 - Scherzer (3)
Wild Card - Kershaw (4)

You could say that Trea Turner trade paid dividends in more ways then one.
-Turners been great
-Seager’s been great after the trade (hitting and fielding)
-Lux has been great after getting demoted to AAA (due to the trade). |

Seems we’re doing ok w/o Bellinger in CF. I don’t get this sentiment that we “need” his defense in CF.
It’s refreshing getting offensive production from Lux in place of Bellinger. |

Our offense is always on fire whenever Beli is out of the lineup. |

Yes yes yes. Scherzer is the hot hand so go with him.
It’s why I love this rotation so much. We can keep coming at the opposing team with aces. We aren’t just relying a bunch on our #1 starter to save us. I think we used to wear Kershaw out until he ran out of gas in the postseason. |

This is happening when my expectations for him were at the lowest. I was pessimistic about his chances. |

Some of his postseason numbers are from starts in 2011 and 2012. He didn’t become a dominant pitcher until 2013. He also faced the DH in his starts in the American League and in some World Series starts. And of course you don’t get impressive sample sizes in the playoffs either. I think he is mentally tough enough for October. |

But you can say the same about his reg season numbers, and we used them all.
But I think we had the same conversation about Kershaw and iirc, you didn’t like where that conversation went so maybe we shouldn’t go down this rabbit hole? |
