What are some quotes that really spoke to you. And why?

Could be a poet, novelist, screenplay writer, etc. Who wrote it.

Just think you know more about a person by what speaks to them. Rather than when you ask someone to describe themselves.

"Answer.
That you are here—that life exists, and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse."

I added a comma that's not in the original after exists because that's how I heard it spoken in an old movie. I left the word Answer in too because it might inspire someone to read the question, and the whole thing.

The first ever quote to live by from someone wearing a muumuu.

Dladi: One of my favorite moments of Stanley breaking the 4th wall.

Mrs. R (making a flower arrangement): "I think this arrangement could use something green and prickly..."

Stanley: "How bout yer mother? (turns and stares HARD at camera with a sh-eating grin)

Cogito, ergo sum. Freshman Philosophy, Fall 94. Surprised anything from that class has stuck.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize that half of them are stupider than that.

There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.

Everyone who follows Reddit knows it was Benjamin Franklin who said that.

Dr. King Schultz: Well, Brünnhilde was a princess. She was a daughter of Wotan, god of all gods. Anyways, Her father is really mad at her.

Django: What she do?

Dr. King Schultz: I can't exactly remember. She disobeys him in some way. So he puts her on top of the mountain.

Django: Broomhilda's on a mountain?

Dr. King Schultz: It's a German legend, there's always going to be a mountain in there somewhere. And he puts a fire-breathing dragon there to guard the mountain. And he surrounds her in a circle of hellfire. And there, Brünnhilde shall remain. Unless a hero arises brave enough to save her.

Django: Does a fella arise?

Dr. King Schultz: Yes, Django, as a matter of fact, he does. A fella named Siegfried.

Django: Does Siegfried save her?

Dr. King Schultz: [Nods] Quiet spectacularly so. He scales the mountain, because he's not afraid of it. He slays the dragon, because he's not afraid of him. And he walks through hellfire... because Brünnhilde's worth it.

Django: I know how he feel.

Cash, grass, or ass...no one rides for free.

Jung. He was suggesting something about the duality of being a passenger in someone else's motorized automobile.

I've watched that movie so many times I've lost count. One of Quentin Tarantino best offerings.
