I'll admit surprise. I thought the fear of Wagner's troops retaliating would deter Putin. There have been 6 assassination attempts on Putin. I can't grasp why this guy thought he was safe enough to a.) be in Moscow and b.) travel in a documented flight anywhere near Moscow airspace.. c.) take off in a plane from a Moscow airport

Lukashenko says he recently heard about plans to assassinate Prigozhin while on a trip to UAE, so he informed the Russian ambassador to the UAE, who then told Putin about those plans. Putin then told Prigozhin that some people are planning to assassinate him, thus Prigozhin was aware of the plans.
So there you go folks, Putin is just an innocent bystander in all of this.
