Ja Morant says his status for Game 2 is “in jeopardy.” He was downtrodden and not even able to use his right hand to undo a balled-up pair of socks. “Feels like it’s one thing after another.”

I hate to see players get hurt, but at the same time I wish we were playing Tuesday to take advantage of his absence right away before he can return or they can make adjustments. However, AD and Lebron certainly can use the extra day.

No sympathy, he was out there hot dogging when things were going well.

We have had AD and Lebron out all damn season, Lebron is still gimpy. Suck it up and play.

Poor Linda for having to deal with that POS scum every game thread.

I have even checked myself as I am trying to limit my requests and also to manage my temper on LG when things aren't going right for our Lakers LOL

Thanks LINDA 💜💛
Well put and I'll second this for sure. Thanks ChefLinda!

I think morant will be fine, if nothing is broken I wouldn’t be surprised the 2 days off was good enough for him to play game 2

Lakers are -230 for the series on draft kings now. I’m surprised it’s still that low.

Well, there are tendons and ligaments. Let's wait for a MRI. If he can't put a sock, I doubt he can dribble or shot the ball.

It is his shooting hand, I don’t see how it can have no effect

If he plays, just pressure him full court to test his handle and then back off and pay no attention to him on offense. Make him prove he can shoot a basketball

Great win but we have a lot of basketball left to be played.
Let’s take it One-Game-At-A-TIME!

Defense… GO LAKERS!!

Doesn't seem to be broken but it also sounds like a very bad sprain, especially if he can't even currently use it to unball a sock.

I hope Ja is perfectly fine the rest of the way. I want us to beat the Grizzlies with everyone at full strength so that no one can make any excuses.

Yeah I sprained a finger like three months ago?? maybe even longer than that and I still feel it a little bit. It doesn't like oh my G-d is it broken hurt like it did when it first happened but it's like I'm flexing it now and it's still a little tender and little weird (and I need my hands for my work as well). So I feel for Ja.

Hope Ja is alright...I'm one of the few that really like his fearlessness.

That said...SWEEP!

And Fox might be my new favorite non-Laker.

How long can AD, RUI, and Lebron hold down the fort without any minutes from Wenyen, Mo and Tristan???

this will be their main problem. Ham is too stubborn

I like MO but Something about him they must see in practice that doesn’t translate to us playing winning basketball.

Not saying I trust the coaching staff but Lebron and AD must be on board with him not in the rotation as well.

I'm thinking his game is too raw still.
Wasted his first 3 years with the Orlando Magic.
At least he has a real growing process being developed here in LA with AD and Lebron mentoring him

I've been racking my brain trying to find a reason Mo's not playing. It may have something to do with his performance in practice. He's getting 0 burn.

He needs to spend every day after practice working with Thompson. Thompson was great at moving his feet, containing pick and rolls, boxing out, rebounding, setting screens, and dirty work. If he picks up anything from anyone it needs to be Thompson and his willingness to get blue collar. Bamba could be a good player if he does that

Incredible effort to close out that game for the win! Love the depth and multiple contributions. And Davis was so dominant on defense. Fun game to watch.

As for Jarant’s injury. Sucks. But no one cares but the Grizz fans. And from what I heard all game long from the announcers, they have a starting PG in T. Jones to take his place. Lakers need to be ready for any that take the court and take care of business.

Only 15 wins to go. On to Wednesday.

Indeed. But also hope he's healthy and ready to play because winning due to injuries sucks
