He may have maxed out.

Again, game 3. Played all summer. Might be a little tired.

I said may. I have no worries this early, but we filled out the roster with very average players and still need a really old player on the court to be competitive.

You want to bring the best player of all time off the bench while he is playing well?

I didn't see Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant on that court tonight.

I'm really not worried about these chumps come playoff time.

The ball wasn't "bouncing right" for them. They were going get the ball. Something we were not doing.

Kings won but we are ‘better’ than them. The logic eludes us.

Were the Astros better than the teams they beat the year they cheated?
Pollyannish logic, and thats being polite.
Nice try tho.

Yes, the Astros were better. People need to stop with the "holier than thou" attitude. All the teams were probably cheating in some way. The Astros just got caught. And they followed it up a couple years later and won again.

If all the other players who played on team USA had a similar drop in performance, then I would agree with you.

That’s debatable, but would you put MJ or Kobe on the bench?

DFish sounding more like DFish. (he's actually a really good analyst and he should probably stick to that)

We need AR and DLo to get their (bleep) together tomorrow so they would be prepared for the game on Wednesday. I don't want to lose on Wednesday. I really don't.

Ham lost us this game. Wood was playing great and has been since last game.

Gabe Vincent meanwhile mustered 2 points and some boneheaded defensive plays.

The Dodgers were clearly the best team in 2017 and that cheating turned favorable for them into a game 7 win when we should have won Game 5 and finished that series in a Game 6 win.

But they got their just reward when they were the best team in baseball in 2019 and ended up losing to the Nationals.

Was he in the doghouse for his bad defense? A player shot a layup right in his face and Wood didn’t even put his hands up. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Magic look very formidable this season, and we have the Clippers on Wednesday. We could be 1-4 real quick.

No doubt!
Ham has to do a better job with his rotations and the players have to play better on the DEFENSIVE end. Giving up 132 points to any team is unacceptable.

B2B games are very demanding and the Magic are playing inspired ball at 2-0 so far this season. They are young, athletic and hungry. Paolo Banchero is an up and coming super star.
The Clippers are loaded with a veteran team and solid coaching.
Wake up Lakers......... MUST WIN NOW!!

Nope. What's your point? WWE is clearly scripted. But the beauty of sports is that you settle things on the field (or the court). If you win, it usually means you are better. Now if you're somehow implying (based on your WWE question) that outcomes in all sports can be "scripted", then apply that mode of thinking to all cases and not just the instances in which YOUR team lost. And to take it further, if it's all scripted, what's the point of us fans getting all passionate about our teams?

The Dodgers were "CLEARLY" the best team in 2017? They were 104-58 in the regular season while the Astros were 101-61. Nothing about that says "clearly better" to me. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I pull for the Dodgers because I've lived out here for 30 something years. However, I know enough to realize that having the best regular season record doesn't mean you are the best team. Some teams are built for the regular season. That seems to be true for this version of the Dodgers since they continually lose in the post season (not just to the Astros).

But to bring this back on topic, as a die hard Lakers fan I want to "believe" we are better than the Kings but we are not "obviously" better than them. There was nothing fluky about the loss last night.

The Kings killed us w/ 20 second-chance points, 56 points in the paint and 46 points from it's bench.

In OT LA went 1-of-4 from deep, Sacto made 3-for-7. Game, set, match.

yup … horrid defense for the most part. If we defended like champions no need for OT as we scored plenty of points.

Like I posted on page 1
Quote:
The Kings are a good team. Mike Brown has turned things around in Sac Town. They'll be playing with a chip on their shoulder because of him. Most of these Lakers weren't here when he was the coach so they probably won't play with the same intensity. This is a test game for the team and staff.

Both failed.
Ham didn't run plays for AD down low late in the game and OT, and the team didn't make AD a priority in OT. I'm not going to blame AD for this loss. He looked frustrated because he wasn't getting touches late in the game and OT.
