The Angels have fallen to 10-18. The White Sox are 6-22. And I hadn't realized that the Astros are 9-19...which includes winning their last 2! I still expect Houston to get it together, but it's likely that the Angels, White Sox, Oakland (12-17), and Miami (6-23) will get raided by teams looking for upgrades.

Mike Trout will have knee surgery after Rendon just got hurt. Ohtani must be thrilled he got out of that mess.

What a shame for Trout. Body just totally broke down on him around age 30. Generational talent. The modern day Mantle, possibly.

If we didnt have so many frivolous lawsuits they could just tell everyone with allergies to go hoome or have an epi-pen.

We had a swarm of bees at the country club last week and nobody got stung. We just minded our own business.

I saw “delay” somewhere and thought rain delay was the only explanation.

What a bad game. Mookie and Ohtani couldn't get anything done today. I think Shohei struck out 3 times today.

Walker is better than Babe Ruth against us.

EDIT: I looked it up, and it appears I'm mistaken. He only came into tonight with a .745 OPS against us for his career. He has now hit 21 homers off us in 83 games, though, so that's basically a 40-homer pace for a full season. Still, I was surprised, I figured it would be closer to 1.000 against us.

with a 1 run lead don’t you go with your stopper to close the deal?

I think Phillips had pitched in 3 of the last 4 games so I'm guessing we just weren't willing to go 4 out of 5 days in late April. I have no problem with that.

Dave used him yesterday with a 4 run lead.

You're right, and I had to go back to make sure that we didn't score runs in the top of the 9th to make it a non-save situation. Sometimes when that happens, the closer is warming up and so the manager feels like you may as well still put him into the game since he's gotten loose. But yeah, we did not score in the 9th. Wow, what a waste then.

Smartest man in the room.

Oh, and Joe Kelly apparently "felt something" in his groin area during his outing today, so he's unavailable tomorrow. Hudson has been giving up runs lately and perhaps was never meant to be the 8th inning guy off the injuries he's had. We've already lost Brasier. If Kelly ends up requiring an IL stint, we're going to be really shorthanded. Treinen's return appears to be imminent, at least. But we need more.

That was the time to put in your gas-can relief pitcher.

Pages with an atomic home run. Dodgers lead 2-0.

It’s going to be hard to remove Pages from the lineup.

The kid on fire. It's like whenever he gets up to bat, you know something is going to happen.
