The comedy, but the irony in that comment is that it's the truth. If Lebron grows up, meaning play like a 40 yr old should play, his Clippers would win. I don't believe he realizes how poignant his comment is. |

Admittedly, I am from overseas and don't know the dynamics of your city despite following the Lakers for almost 30 year, but ... why would anyone become a Clippers fan? I mean, I get the ones who were Buffalo or San Diego fans to begin with (and their descendants), but other than that.  |

Contrarians, people attracted to underdogs, and people that just hate the Lakers. Locally, in the hierarchy of LA sports the Clippers are beneath the Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Kings, and USC. As last night’s crowd showed, they still just don’t have a lot of fans. They think this will all change when they move to Inglewood (where the Rams play and the Lakers used to play.)
