I'd love for him to somehow find himself here, but I won't hold my breath. If Phil Handy accomplishes that with him he deserves a statue.
He seems more like a project pick up. Rather than a guy who can play spot minutes now...
I'm surprise Wenyen Gabriel is still out there. He's a solid high motor end of the bench guy who can give you a productive 5-15mpg who has familiarity with the Lakers.
That's shocking... WG is a nice utility guy. I guess we're going with more height. Otherwise, I would absolutely take WG over Giles.

If you could take Giles size and whats left of his athleticism and give him WG's hustle and utility, then HG would stick around the league a lot longer and be a great get for us. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Wenyen Gabriel is an energy player, but Marcus Morris is an upgraded version of Wenyen
He seems to be a Jaxson Hayes-type player and not a Stretch 5. He seems to be a player who places his top priority on getting rebounds, play D and bring max energy. In addition, he appears to have a great hunger and loves to play the game,
What people don't get this is a 2-way contract. The player barely got paid, so those other old players are not alternatives.
And 2-way aren’t playoff eligible anyway so, plugging in need vs project is ok at this point _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.“
Why didn’t we sign Aleksej Pokusevski if we were going to sign a Center?
Surely he would have been A LOT more useful in both the short and long term, then a guy who has torn pretty much every ligament in his body? _________________ Lakers Offseason Goal:
- Draft Zach Edey (or Kel'el Ware)
- Sign Jonas Valanciunas or Nicolas Claxton
- sign and trade DLO to not lose value
- sign a coach that’s not an idiot

Hard to believe he's only 25 as it feels like he's been talked about for a long time.
This signing doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He didn't even look that good when he was with the Kings a few years ago and that was the height of his career.
Are we doing his agent a favor in hopes of landing another client in the future? _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
How is he as a rebounder because that’s what we need
Per 36 he averages 11 rebounds.
But also with evidence in the minutes he gets he is a very solid rebounder. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

That was one of the few areas of Harry’s game that translated at Duke, even without the lateral mobility because of the knee injuries, he could rebound in traffic. That is definitely a weakness on this team, they give up far too many offensive rebounds.
I think the league should allow teams to bring one two-way player to the playoffs. Maybe they require you keep a player on the full roster out. But the idea that you have someone like Gabe or Vando, who you aren't going to cut but who may not be healthy shouldn't prevent you from having sufficient bodies. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.
As of right now the only strengths other NBA teams have unlocked to translate is his rebounding ability. If he got his jumper back or consistent that'd be a different story. I can't expect him to get his handle back because even if it's there, the explosiveness to beat people off the dribble no longer is after the leg injuries. But if he can get his jumper consistent, that in addition to his rebounding will be enough to carve out a better niche for himself. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
