Orlando may be bad now but they are gonna be a force in a couple years when darko and howard really hit their stride... |

Agreed. Darko had no time behind Wallacex2 and Antonio. |

Hah! You know he's blocked almost as many shots since he joined Orlando in the last 12 games (29) as Kwame as blocked (34) all season? :> |

He's the next Kwame, minus the defense. Rumors were that the Lakers were interested in Darko. The Pistons got what they wanted. They received a veteran defensive backup center and a draft pick. They also unloaded Carlos. They have to pay some All-Stars next season. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Darko is not the next Kwame. If Orlando locks him up next to Howard they might have something special. Those two are young, athletic, and can swat around 2 shots a game each. Not to mention they compliment each other's game as Darko likes to work the high post. |

Darko and Kwame are alike in that they both need to focus and show a lot more intensity and desire. That's pretty much where the similarities end. Darko has major skills and can truly be a huge force in this league IMO. If you look at his per/40 minute numbers, they're pretty incredible considering this is the kid's first real game experience. He's already a solid rebounder and a fantastic shot blocker. He's shown alot of variety in his offensive game but really needs to work on his D.
Kwame is a mess. He's shown some promise lately, but has played a lot more so it feels like he's got a lot more limited upside. He can't catch the ball to save his life and he has a 10 cent head. He plays great man D, but is not a shot blocker and doesn't have much of an offensive game to speak of. I'm hoping he can give the Lakers 10/10 next year - I'd consider that spectacular improvement for him. |

The only thing that amazes me is 2.5 bpg. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

He's shown promise the whole year, but he's inconsistent. As for not catching the ball, he rarely has games where he's not catching it-I don't know why people keep repeating that (bleep). People tend to fixate on the errors they see while ignoring the times they are proven wrong. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam
