this was inspired by the nas thread. what do you guys think is the best rap album of all time?
my personal choice is A Tribe Called Quest- Low End Theory.
runner up for me is Outkast-Stankonia. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Hmmm...tough...
I gotta go with Outkast - Aquemini - IMHO, Outkast's best album and everything since has been downhill, though Stankonia was still very good. I mean, that album wasn't just hip-hop, they really pulled it all together for that one with incredible lyrics and beats on every song.
This is too hard to do. I gotta include a couple others that come to mind in no particular order.
Roots - Things Fall Apart
De La Soul - Stakes is High
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Wu Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid in Full
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique |

Nas -- Illmatic
Followed closely by Eric B & Rakim -- Paid in Full
There's at least 5 albums that I could come up with for the 3rd slot (Jay-Z, Kweli, Mos Def, The Roots, Raekwon, etc). All are classic albums, but the 1st 2 stand out the most IMO |
