Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker have split up, a source close to the couple tells People magazine.
"They did break up. It's amicable," the source says, adding, "They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out."
"It's distance and demanding careers and not living in same city," said the source. "It didn't happen yesterday. It's been going on for a while."
In an earlier statement issued by Longoria's rep Liza Anderson on Friday, she said, "Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers."
Desperate Housewives has been filming in Los Angeles, and the San Antonio Spurs departed Texas on Friday afternoon to begin a training camp in France.
Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, met in November 2004 and Longoria told People magazine, "What's not to like?"
Longoria says she is happiest when in a relationship. "There's no way in the world I would rather be single," she said. "Tony is too. I've said the only reason Tony and I are going to stay together forever is because we're too lazy to look for someone else."
The #1 on the hated couples list is not a couple anymore.

Funniest thing I saw was when they put up Longoria on the Jumbotron and a chorus of BOOOOOs ensued at Staples.
Loved that. The Laker fans know what's what. She's in Hollywood yet chearing the Spurs? Noone in Staples is going to allow for that ! |

Back to Tony Longoria again.
Saw Eva at his game in Paris. The guy calling it said "on again, off again" boyfriend LOL
You could tell Tony was playing extra for her. 27 points and even tried to dunk on the break (which he screwed up)
I bet Pop hates that (bleep). The guy wants his players focused on basketball not showing off for their on and off GF's.  |

Proabably because a lot of Laker fans who don't particularly care for Parker got involved in the pole somehow?
That is strange though. It may be a redneck oriented sampling that they took, so that would figure...
