Yep. Glad that little punk got taught a lesson. Too bad the video cut off right after he hit the floor. I would have loved to see his reaction afterward...

i saw this somewhere else and posters were arguing back and forth about how "real" the martial arts stance/tenchinque, really was

Some argued that the punch was lucky, while others, who claimed they knew and studied that particular art, said the punch was all while under control.

Either way, good thing was that skinny bald wannabe "homes" got knocked the (bleep) out. I hate ganstars/cholos/punks...You could tell the guys stance freaked him out a bit, and was completely caught off guard....(.tying my shoes..pfft)cmon..

That skinny little cholillo was pretty scared--once Van Damme there started rocking the stance he kept stalling and looking at his buddies. The camera even cuts out and they've moved across the parking lot, Van Damme had his shoes off, etc.

I'd be surprised if the pelon weighed more than a buck ten.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here in saying I don't understand the appeal in watching fights. And I really don't udnerstand taking a video of street fights and posting them online. I just don't enjoy watching someone get knocked out, or sucker punched, or the violence in general.

I remember seeing on the news about 15 years ago these guys who took their video camera and would go around town asking guys for the time or for directions or something. Then, when the random guy would be distracted, they'd blast them and knock them out. It make me sick to see it, and I just cannot get into seeing something like that ever since.

You're probably right ung, you might be in the minority. For me, when the idiot gets hurt, I have a hard time feeling sorry for him. Unsuspecting folks being videoed on Candid Camera "Suckerpunch Edition" get a bit more of my sympathy. To put it this way, I feel worse for the guy who get his truck egged for video amusement than the dude that get his head cracked open on felony fights.

It does pain me to see people being injured. But quite a bit less so when it's provoked. Does this make me insensitive?

It's just me as far as the fights are concerned. I can just 'not watch it', or change the channel as it were.

But I'm a pacifist, and will avoid fighting at all costs - not that, at my age, fighting is really a part of my life anyway.

I've just never understood the whole 'winning' by hitting someone. Why not just have a tug o' war? Or, when you're really upset at someone, have a free throw shooting contest. Maybe a Whoever Can Solve the Crossword Puzzle Quickest contest. I think I'd rather try to outwit someone than see who has the best kung fu technique.

UNg..your right about those STUPID videos of innocent people getting sucker punched. And at my age, (only 25), Ive outgrown any desire to "battle" or to show how big my manhood is, by fighting. Dont get me wrong...I WILL fight to defend my family, friends(if need be), and myself. Ive noticed a BIG change in my temperament since my grandmother died 6 years ago..Before, I would curse and stare down anyone, for the smallest of things, such as cutting me off in traffic. But youve got people being shot in freeways, bricks being thrown from overpasses, stabbings at clubs, people "jumped" to the brink of death, murders at DRIVE THRUS at a local jack n the box!!..and for what???

Ive got reasons to live......(check my sig) 8)

For the most part, If teenie boppers decide to fight, and as long as it is a man to man, no weapons, fists only fights...then I could care less. Teenagers will forever(in their youth) feel invincible and righteous..thus leading into senseless fights over "mad dogging"...
