Thats a good question.
Tough to compare them since they are really different players and playing different positions.
My personal opinion is that Mayo has the higher upside with Love being a bit more of a sure thing. I also get the feeling Mayo might end up bringing more excess baggage than Love, but it's not really based off much other than him picking USC and the statement he issued for doing so (seemed transparent to me lol). |

Two different players, two different positions.
That's like comparing an H3 to a Mustang GT and asking what's a better piece of machinery.

Depends on what you're trying to do and what you already have. If I'm looking to go off-roading or haul a ton of people around, I want the H3. If I just want a car for me and the wife to go crusiing in, I get the Mustang.
Since UCLA under Ben Howland is geared more toward strong defense, rebounding, and halfcourt execution, and since they already have a well-stocked backcourt with Afflalo and Collison and recruits coming down the pipe, Love is exactly what the Bruins need -- big, strong, mobile, good rebounder and great passer at the HS level.
