i have some connections in the music biz through my family ties and i just got the new Nas album. Listening to it now, lets hope that it's closer to Illmatic quality than his past stuff.
BTW, if anybody wants a hip hop album, any time period, Im pretty much a hip hop album counessior (SP?), so request something, and ill upload it for ya. I got them all on my harddrive already. _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.
Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael

Btw, Stylez, would you post the CD cover (I just wanna make sure, 'cause there're two versions that I've seen, one with the blue sky, the other abit more darker), or things like lyrics sheets, if there're any? Thanks!
I just got it too, but I got no connections in the music biz, just got connections to the internet,
haha totally man. I should seriously be in jail the amount of "internet connections" i tend to have. BTW, i think the lighter blue sky is the clean version. _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.

I listened to it. It was a little dissapointing, just like Jay's album. The Kanye track is . And Black Republicans is amazing. So far, my favorite rap albums that I've heard go like this..
1.Clipse- Hell Hath No Fury (By far; 5/5;CLASSIC)
2.Lupe Fiasco- Food&Liquor (Great Debut)
3-4. NaS-Hip Hop Is Dead & Jay-Z-Kingdom Come (Both Dissapoiting; Internet fans are already calling HHID a classic  .)
5.Young Jeezy-Thug Motivation 102: The Inspiration
6.The Game-The Doctor's Advocate
7.Snoop Dogg-The Blue Carpet Treatment (too many fillers, but That's That is tight)
i reallyyyy can't wait for the new Talib album Eardrum _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.

Listening to new Mos Def, True Magic,... it feels like an extension of Black On Both Sides... Real Tight!!!
New Nicolay (my favorite producers right now), Here. Really smooth... calling his music 'beats' is a disservice. If you have heard of Nicolay, check out The Foreign Exchange - Connected (striaght classic hip hop), or The Dutch Masters Vol.1 (classic).
Hi-Tek last is decent... their are some nice joints on it.
And believe it or not, In My Mind - The Prequel by Pharrell and Dj Drama. I was surprised.
Little Brother - The Listening.... Tight,.. but I'm a big fan of the Justus League...
Snoop's latest... don't have it, but it was Doggy-vember on XM last month so heard most of the tracks... it's good.
what other recent hip hop albums do you guys like?
Everything recent nowadays is horrible excluding Common and Talib
my favorites of all time...easily are....
Lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous- Big L
Enter the 36 Chambers- Wu Tang
Reasonable Doubt- Hov
Illmatic- Nas
Reflection Eternal/Train Of Thought- Talib Kweli
Darkest Cloud- Vakill
Rip The Jacker- Canibus
Me Against The World- Pac
3 Feet high and rising- De la Soul
....seriously too many
My favorite artists...
1. Pac
2. Big L
3. Hova
4. Talib Kweli
5. Canibus
6. AZ
7. Cormega
8. Lord finesse
9. Vakill
10. Royce Da 5'9 _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.

i think nas made a helluvan album....i'd give it a 4-5...HHID > Kingdom come for sure....i'm a big nas fan. I love the dream track...on kingdom come i'm feelin beach chair and minority report...and the title track and thats about it.
the new snoop is good...i like the new clipse especially hello new world and nightmares w/bilal is a classic track.
jeezy's cd is good...i love the r kelly track that leads into the timbaland track...they are both
i dont like the new mos def...he sounds uninspired to me. i dunno. i was expecting more from him...perhaps it'll grow on me.
and The Foreign Exchange - Connected IS classic....beautiful. and im a huge talib fan as well..although I was disappointed with his last. I am expecting a classic outta him as well. I miss the reflection eternal days....
