I'm sure I'm going to hear it on this one but what the heck...

Yes, Karl had many small successes in the NBA but never could quite get over the hump. I always felt what stripped Karl of a title was not necessarily "Mike and company" but rather his own head.

In fact, I feel the same way about Manning. Soft-headed!

Can Manning win it all? Or does he fall short?

Go Lakers!

I'm a Packer fan living in the Chicago area.

Tomorrow will be a long day at work if the Manning proves to be "Malone-like."

Go Lakers!

All Peyton proved to me today is that he is a whiny brat when things don't go his way. Every time I see something not work he's throwing his hands in the air or slamming things down. I began to notice this trend after the Patriot game and the trend continued today.

 I don't get what he did that was so bad after the game but whatever...

That being said as a Colts fan I'm thrilled especially with people finally being able to STFU about whether Dungy/Peyton can win the big game. Of course they'll want them to win another blah blah blah. Whatever.. It has been quite a season that's for sure. I admit I never thought this day would come. I really don't know how to react.

I'm not a Peyton Manning fan, but I really like Tony Dungy. Class coach.

That Indy offensive line deserves as much (if not more) props as the defense. That's where the battle was won today.

Does the Super Bowl winner predict the NBA champ:

Last year - Steelers: Young QB. Facing the MVP. The next year they struggle.
- Heat: Young Star (Wade). Facing the almost MVP(Dirk). Struggle next year.

So who will win this year? Here's my analysis about the Colts: They have someone who many people didn't believe could come through in a big game. They are a "built for the regular season" team. Last year, they started out 8-0, but then collapsed in the playoffs.

Who does that translate into? The Mavs, Cavs, or Pistons.
Mavs: They are always a 50 win team, but never seem to come up in the playoffs. Although Dirk is not considered a choke artist, he did falter in the Finals

Cavs: Lebron=LeChoke

Pistons: They were the NBA's Colts last year, peaking too early and not even making it to the title game. Does this mean that they will win it this year? Many people say Flip Saunders can't come through in the playoffs.

Good for Manning. Happy colts won, but why do sports players always thank god for the win

I mean I doubt hes spending his time fixing games because you pray.

I admit that bugged me too but I guess its about the inner strength etc. I can't think of much else really for that one. Its like you're saying God didn't want the other team to win or something?

Peyton's game isn't perfect... He still gets a little too eagar to go for the long bomb... He's just learning how to mix his plays, and throw some short ones. He's learning how to make the right decisions, and move his team down the field, like some players on the Lakers.

Having said these things... I expect Peyton to re-write the record books, if he stays healthy. Another big factor will be how good his protection will be.
The Colts's Organization better build the best offensive line possible, to protect this guy!!... Peyton is the second-coming of Johnnny U. !!

There was a very poignant moment, in the Indy v.s. New England Game... I don't know how many fans caught it, but I was sure tuned in... New England was driving to the end zone, and they could have turned things around, and won... The camera did a closeup, of Peyton, and Peyton looked like he was saying his prayers... I don't know why, but I was very attuned to that moment... Perhaps, it was the real feeling of reverance, and the demeanor of Peyton... It didn't seem like Peyton was being selfish about it... The thought that was conveyed, to me, was like... "Alright, God, I've done my best... Please remember me, but Thy Will Be Done..." New England went on to turn the ball over, and the rest of the game belonged to the Colts.

By the way... I didn't find out, till later, that Peyton was actually saying a prayer, when he admitted it.

I know Dungy is a religious man and that has probably rubbed off a little on his players, but I refuse to believe that any deity would care even a little bit about football.

God didn't want you to see the game. Accept the outcome; it's a matter of faith.
