I think a movie is a success when they really stick to the comic.
They need to make a Superman where Doomsday twists his wig; or a Batman when Bane makes his back go "Snapo."
Steel and Dolph's Punisher was brutal. |

man did joel schumacher destroy bane or what?
i thought bryan singer's superman was pretty good. not great. seemed like he was too hung up on donner's superman. his xmen films were much, much better. brandon routh was a good find.
the granddaddy of them all is coming up though. zack snyder's THE WATCHMEN!!! greatest comic book of all time. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Best: Oldboy, Batman Begins, American Splendor, V for Vendetta
Worst: Both Schumacher's Batman movies, Spawn, Daredevil... actually there are plenty of truly awful comic book movies. |

Batman Begins, Spiderman, X-Men in that order. Superman was good too, but it wasn't close to Spiderman or Batman Begins.
Worst: Hulk, Daredevil |

Dick Tracy
The movie is unwatchable and not just for the fact that Warren Beatty (very annoying) and Madonna are in it. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I can't judge best in terms of adaption. I don't read comic books. However, when I'm stuck on a very long flight, I'll watch movies that I wouldn't even consider viewing for free. The one comic book movie that surprised me was Hellboy, a true guilty pleasure. |

Dug Hellboy, too. Good blend of action and comedy.
Ted Danson was phenomenal in the lead role. |

Hey, comic book movie geeks!!!
Playing Harvey Dent in Batman: The Dark Knight (2008)...
Aaron Eckhart, best known for the lead role in "Thank You for Smoking."

EXCELLENT CASTING CHOICE.
