Anyone know much about this site? I checked it out and played some free games trying to gain knowledge on some games I know very little about (Craps / Baccarat ) Has anyone actually gambled on there though? Is it worth becoming a member? Do I need to dump a whole lot of $$ just to start up?

I am a Bodog regular.

It is by far my favorite of all the online gambling sites, I use it primarily for poker personally although I have done some sports betting there as well.

I believe it is a $20 minimum to open an account, you generally get a 10% bonus so $20 would get you $22 to start.

As far as the online casino portion, I have only used it for blackjack...not craps or roulette. I believe all the games have "Play Money" options that you can use while you are learning without risking real money. But I think you do have to put in the $20 minimum to open a new account to get access to even the play money games.

Bodog is very reputable, I have never had any problem getting payouts (unlike some other sites I used previously) and their poker software is by far the best of all the online poker sites, no one else is even close.

If you set up an account, feel free to use my referral number:

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me! Good luck!

What games you play, Lanny? I used to use Bodog last year and would parlay my sports winnings into poker losses. I probably donated some money to you at some point or another. Did you ever run into a smack-talking reckloose at the $50 STTs? I'm trying to remember what my screenname was.

LOL, you are a high roller compared to me.

I play most low stakes MTTs, anything from freerolls to $20 entries. Also some ring games for low stakes.

I play some of the bigger tourneys when I win my way in through the satellites (thus don't have to pony up the real entry fee)

I have gravitated away from sports betting as my poker game has improved. I like the idea of having it ride on me (and the luck of the cards) rather than a disinterested Smush Parker for instance.

I am getting better, starting to consistently cash every month for hundreds of dollars. As soon as I can make it thousands, I am kissing the working world goodbye! LOL, just kidding!

Quick question guys, how do you get past the whole money issue in online poker? I heard they closed down the online card rooms.

Sorry out of touch on this these days. I learned online, but we have lots of card rooms in WA state, and I've gotten hooked on playing live. Being able to see the opponent is so much more satisfying, and you get better reads. Besides, it keeps me from being a hermit!

When I signed up, they somehow were able to just take my deposit right out of my checking account.

That was handy and much easier than going through the hassle of using a credit card which can be hit and miss with online gambling sites.

I don't know if that is still how they do deposits as I only take withdrawls now because I kick tail in Poker baby!

I used to use Bodog until they stopped allowing ACH transactions. You can use a CC but you have to file some paperwork with a lot of personal info before ever getting a payout. I took their discontinuation of accepting ACH transactions as a good reason to stop gambling.
