when you guys drink, how much do you drink?

I have found that 5 beers and two shots of something is the best combination of a good buzz and no hangover in the morning.

Urgh. I don't mix beer and shots these days at all. Never was too much of a beer guy though. Whiskey and (good) tequila for me. A Sprite y Esquirt on the rocks comibination is my favorite drink.

Nowadays I go out maybe once a month where I'm drinking and have 2 - 4 drinks.

monday-thursday = beer, depends on what is going on. Maybe a 6 pack of tall boys on some days during the week.

friday-sunday = jack.

I have a vodka martini 4-5 nights a week. I don't drink much beer anymore. I bought a 12-pack of Sierra Nevada Porter at Thanksgiving, and still have about 7 in the fridge. I love bourbon or scotch and water, but don't keep it on hand. It is too easy to just keep drinking and drinking.

I used to drink a couple or more six-packs and later added some other drugs. Fortunately I hit a wall with amphetamines and alcohol when still a teen and was condemned to those damned 12 step meetings for the last 3 decades and a half. [phew, I still remember and thank you hp]

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you come to the rooms soon.

There's definitely different levels I like to drink to:

For the safe buzz with plenty o' time to sober up before driving:
3 to 4 beers or 3 to 4 Jack & Cokes

For the gooood buzz without the regret next morning:
A six pack or 5 to 6 Jack & Cokes

A raging buzz with the screw it I don't care if I pay tomorrow:
10 to 12 beers or 6-8 shots of jack chased with Jack & Cokes.

FUBAR:
Beer bongs or about a pint of Jack D.

Until I throw up...

My tolerance fluctuates like the Lakers consistency, one night I'll take 10 shots and be fine. Than the following weekend I'll take a shot and be buzzin.

Man I used to be able to drink 10-12 beers, but now it is just too much liquid. I can remember in high school drinking 10 or so beers and whatever "jungle juice" was going around and not even feeling it the next morning. Now I have found 5 or 6 beers in the cutoff for not having a hangover.

The answers tho this question are probably a very accurate guage of people's ages.

Nowadays, 1-2 beers once a week or so. Two glasses of wine with a good dinner from time to time. An occasional single malt because it still calls me.

More and more, I'm lubing my ancient chassis with Odwalla instead of tequila, and I find I no longer require a drink or five to be myself among strangers.

man depends on the situation...if im goin out...3 beers pre bar i'd say on average...about 5 or so more out at the bar and usually some tasty shots (soco & lime or other mixed shots, not straight liquor) .... then im horribly hungover in the morning. I can have 4-5 beers over an evening and be fine the next day though. Usually if the lakers are playin at 1030 (east coast) on television i'll drink on a weeknight...but that is rare for me. In college of course I drank 4-5 times a week. I will say I drink more at dinner now that I cut out caffeine...I will have a beer and a water instead of a coke or sweet tea whatever.

None, and damn proud of it. I had a sip when I was like 8 years old, I absolutely hated it. How do you guys handle the bitter taste? I would much rather have a slurpie from 7/11.
