Well, the Hawks dont have to gibe their pick to Phoenix if its top3 this year, so lets assume they win the lotto and get Oden. Then with their 11th pick (Indy's pick from the Al Harrington deal) they get Mike Conley.

IMO this is a playoff team and a future championship contender:

Oden
Marvin
J-Smoove
Joe Johnson
Conley

Bench: Josh Chillz, Shelden.

scary, makes them a top 5 team in the east in just one year, chances of that happening are slim because I think when its all said and done Conley will be a top 5 pick, but nonetheless a chance...

is the pacers' pick protected ?
cause if its' not, it even improves their shot at oden, giving them more ping pong balls...

Mike Conley is not falling down to #11. No chance.

I dont know...its possible man, when you look at the top10, noone really needs a PG, and you have Durant, Oden, Wright, Hibbert, Brewer, Noah, Green, Horford, Hawes, Jianlin, all possible top10 people because of their size.

Regardless of whether or not they can nab Conley with the number 11, if they get Oden they are in great shape. If I'm them I look to package some players and deal for a good PG. They'd have Childress, Salim Stoudamire, Shelden Williams, Marvin Williams and that #11 pick they could deal while still keeping Oden, Johnson, Smith as the core.

Regardsless they're still on good track to improve fast even if they don't get a top 3. They need a PG and another big man or two in the worst way.

Minnesota needs a PG in the worst way; I'm not sure they're convinced Foye can be that guy.

Probably...but Im sure they think they'd benefit more from a guy like Brewer or Green to cover Ricky Davis' ass on defense, or maybe Hibbert, he'd be nice paired with KG.

I asked the same thing about the OSU guys (being a bucks fan) a while back, Atlanta looks like the only chance of them together. There is a scenario where Conley could slip, but that isn't because he isn't worth it. If the Wolves go for Green or Brewer as the best available, teams that need bigs (Charlotte, Chicago) could pass and that leaves the Kings. I myself don't see Conley as a shoot first type PG, but some may, which could detract the Kings and they could opt for a big. I wouldn't put money on him sliding but it could happen.
