I don’t wanna see a rematch right away anyway. Ferguson vs Khabib will be the stuff of legend me thinks. I wanna see that bad.
Conor should go fight Diaz and try to get some confidence back |
Diaz is not the way to get confidence back. He has a head like a rock
Lee would be a fun test.
I am not so sure that Khabib beats Tony. If money matters, take the rematch first. If money doesn't, I am super interested in the Tony vs Khabib fight. |

He is being petty and a jerk imho. Punish Connor some more
15 mil?
Connor only made 3 iirc
15 is a huge payday
I'd go fight mayweather for 10-20 mil
What good is a 5 million fight when he threw away 3 of them?
I'm confused why it is good to leave that much cash out there? |
Khabib has said repeatedly he doesn't care about the money. He dominated Conor despite Conor cheating, theres nothing left to prove. Why does Conor deserve a rematch when Aldo who was champion for like a decade didn't get one with Conor? |
The whole cheating narrative is getting old. Khabib dominated rounds one, two, and obviously four. He did not dominate round three and there may a blueprint in that round. I think Conor's ring rust may have played a part because his punching did not look crisp at all. I know Khabib fans are absolutely certain he would dominate in a rematch. I am nowhere near as convinced. |

Good eye OLG.
THAT Conor was not the one we’ve seen in peak performances. And I’m talking the first minute showing here, before a single takedown. His distance, his footwork, the speed and even his stance were unfamiliar sights to me. The biggest verification was him getting stung by that looping, overhand right. That being said, I don’t know if the rematch would create anything more than a less dominant (think Iaquinta here) version of Khabib.
I’m guessing that Khabib turning down all that money for a rematch has more to do with his teammate’s career than it does any animosity toward Conor. And there’s now way that a Khabib/Mayweather fight generates any electricity among the PPV community. I think that stuff is just Khabib’s way of gaining leverage against Dana and the company. Which, again, points back to his looking out for his friends. IMHO, that’s what all this is about. He’s learned how to operate in the modern UFC. _________________ We back. |

Diaz is a waaaayyy better confidence builder (and money fight for Conor) than Kevin Lee.
Lee would do excatly to Conor what Khabib did with better standup. Look at what Khabib did to Barbosa, then look what Lee did to Barbosa. Lee can almost mimic his style exactly.
Conor didn't look the same I agree. Part of that could be due to rust. But I think a major factor so many over looked before the fight is that when the take down threat is so big it changes the standup game because there's more to worry about. That's how Khabib landed that monster over hand right. He feinted a takedown first. When he fainted Conor kept his hands low to stuff the takedown then the punch came.
He'd have those same problems fighting against a guy like Lee. Diaz would fight like a macho idiot and just stand with Conor the whole time which plays to Conor's strengths. Another confidence booster fight for Conor would be somebody like Holloway or maybe even Gaethje. Guys that are going to come at him where his skills are the strongest |

At the top of his game, dude was an absolute load. But it's looking like his chin has recently gotten exposed as being as unreliable as the rest of his anatomy. _________________ We back. |

Yesterday I watched this
Top 50 Best Mike Tyson Punches HD
I was just in awe repeatedly at how fast Tyson could reset his whole fighters stance and launch a punch that can knock you out
If he would be allowed leg kicks/elbows and hammerfists etc.. who would we put in the cage with prime Mike Tyson MMA
**To be mentioned.. Props to Iron Mike.. I noticed how he rarely hit more than was necessary.. he'd even pause to make sure the next punch wouldn't kill the guy if he needed to make sure he was out or not before he threw it |

They're the biggest mma promoter in all of Asia. Current valuation has it around $1B. I don't think they plan to go hogwild and hand out these monster contracts but having a "big name" like Alvarez can only help them. _________________ KOBE |

Iron Mike's head movement was ridiculous too! Imagining him with a full repetoire of MMA skills. Terrifying |

I'm just trying to figure out which organization reached out first for this discussion to begin. And DJ has to be feeling a figurative kick to the crotch on this one.
Is there any potential for a Khabib/Askren match? _________________ We back. |

I would guess UFC initiated it because they want Askren. And I could see Askren/Khabib or Askren/GSP or Askren moving up to middleweight
I wonder if that means both fighters keep their current contracts in the new organizations or do their rights transfer and then they start new contracts?
If so I could see DJ being happy if he's getting paid like Alvarez |

Poor DJ. Most consecutive title defenses and he gets tossed into an obscure (relatively) promotion without ever getting a chance to get a rematch. That's gotta sting. _________________ KOBE |
