I would go with the Panthers since TB didn't look really good at all. |

I agree with this, and the history of Thursday road teams also isn't good. If you don't have roster space for two defenses, I could understand going with Dallas, though, since they get Miami in Week 3. |

So i might just stay put so I can play them next week too. I only have 4 bench spots. |

For me it would depend.
If I’m looking to avoid risk, I’m taking Dallas.
If I’m looking for upside, I’m taking Panthers.
It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Tampa Bay puts up 30+ on Carolina. |

I guess this is where you have to know your scoring system. If you don't get that many points for holding a team to, say, under 20 points, I'm going with Carolina for this week. The Bucs are a 7-point dog (you want strong home favorites), and Winston is usually good for sacks and turnovers. I'm not saying that Dallas isn't a decent play, but for this week I'd prefer Carolina. But I'd rather have Dallas for two weeks. They will probably be 17 point favorites at home next week against Miami. At least. |

Yeah. But also, you have to factor in your tolerance for risk. Some people want the safe bet.
Tampa Bay is a Jekyll and Hyde. They blew up the Saints defense last year for like 50 points on the road with Fitzpatrick.
Against the Panthers last year they put up like 30 points on the road too.
I just anyone who plays Carolina has to accept there is a decent possibility they get a zero in the point column whereas with Dallas the likelihood of getting blown up is much smaller. |

Ehh, keep in mind that Philly (I started them in 2 leagues) barely did anything, at home, against these same Redskins, whom Dallas will be playing on the road. Yes, the Bucs blew up the Saints last year, but you even said it wasn't with Winston. Also, this is a Thursday short-week game. Short week, on the road, Jameis Winston. Sure, I realize there's some risk, but it's not like Dallas is a slam-dunk this week, so I would comfortably rank Carolina as the better play for this week. As I said, though, if you also have Dallas available and if you can't use 2 roster spots on defenses, I understand choosing Dallas, as they get Miami in Week 3. |

Yup. Dont disagree with anything you said. I wouldnt try and talk someone out of playing CAR.
I just think Tampa Bay is much more capable of getting into, and sustaining, a shootout than Washington is. The TB/CAR game also has a higher total. But Carolina is definitely the upside play though no doubt. |

Got a couple decisions to make this week..looking for any input
Dak @ Was or Lamar vs Ari? Leaning Lamar seeing how Stafford shredded them last week. And they're missing Peterson
half ppr Allen Robinson @ Den or Tyrell Williams vs KC? Leaning ARob but Tyrell might have the better matchup
half ppr Ridley vs Phi or Duke vs Jax? Leaning Ridley due to Jax's D |

I'm starting Lamar over Wentz, so he's definitely better than Dak imo. Tyrell over ARob in a game where the Raiders will need to throw. Ridley over Duke. |

Lamar over Dak, but Wentz over Lamar. Tyrell over A-Rob. Duke vs. Ridley feels very close. Philly's secondary is awful so if you're going for upside, maybe Ridley, as Duke is basically in a timeshare with Hyde, and, though he's the passing down back, unfortunately Watson has never been a QB that throws a lot of passes to the RB. |

I picked Dak over Lamar but they were 1/2 so I don’t feel too bad.
I will say when its close I do tend to lean on more known quantities. (Which has been a bit of an issue for me this fantasy season).
My gut told me to draft Waller. My mind told me not to bother. Grrr. |

I had Andrews and I dropped him for Waller. Waller looks pretty involved but Andrews is Lamars go-to. Been a monster so far. Curious to see if he can keep it up. |

Traded Tyreek Hill for Chris Carson in my half-ppr (12.5 rec yards per point) league. My WR and Flex were very weak, and, at 1-1, I did not feel confident in my roster to survive without Hill. I will try to flip Henry for someone like Mike Evans to get a stronger WR on my roster. |

There's a river flood warning in KC tomorrow and it's supposed to be raining all game, with thunderstorms at times. Maybe take Brown out of it due to that, but check weather reports in the morning. Rainy weather isn't necessarily a deterrent to fantasy points, but a driving rain can be. Ridley's a good play in a dome at Indy, and Williams has a great matchup against Houston's non-existent CB's, and he made a couple of big plays last week despite a questionable tag. And he's not on the injury report this week.
To be clear, I think I would play Brown over Williams under normal circumstances, but the weather might be enough of a difference for me. |

was talking to a guy that was in the very first Fantasy Football League that I joined many years ago when I was a newbie @ Ernst & Young. I stayed in it for years after I moved, but finally gave up my spot to a young guy in that office that wanted to join. He said the league is still strong and told me of a new tradition that I thought was hilarious. Any year a new person joins, each person trades their best player to the team that is matched up against the new person in Week 1 late that Saturday night. Of course Week 1 does not count, and they trade back all of the players for Week 2.
New guy opens up the website Sunday to see how he is doing and cant figure out how his opponent has Mahomes @ QB, Barkley, Cook, and McCaffrey at RB's, Julio Jones and OBJ at receivers, and Kelce @ TE! |

Took an L this week, roller with Lamar over Russell Wilson, then Wilson blew up, was the difference.
I still have AB on my bench, should I dump him and get some more depth off the waiver wire, or is he worth keeping just in case? I'm still holding spots for Melvin Gordon & AJ Green too, so my bench isn't a whole lot of use to me right now. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.
