Yep. This was a coaching matchup. Erik made adjustments, Frank countered. Two good coaches went at it tonight. I'm gaining respect for Vogel's coaching acumen. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Kudos:
1. To the roleplayers. Kept us going.
2. AD - as usual, played better after a poor game. While still not nearly aggressive enough on offense, he was a huge issue for MIA on the defensive end. Played terrific D on JB. While I wanted to see more offense from him his shots in the 4th were timely.
3. Vogel - dude you piss me off at times but kudos to after deciding to put AD on JB, realizing Heat would just wait for a switch again to get AD off JB...so...AD was told to sag off when out deep, allowed the Lakers to counter most switch-related issues. |

Missed the game - intentionally, so as not to jinx them. Who was tonight's MVP? _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

I don't post in the game thread during the game so not to jinx them.
I thought tonight was going to be a blowout...NOT...The Heat got heart.

Miami has been in the Bonus 16 out of 16 Quarters in the Finals.
A 3 pt shooting team has been in the bonus 16 STRAIGHT QUARTERS.
Just 1 Honest Game would be dope.
And I'm 100% ok with the NBA banning zone defense again. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

Ton of respect for Denver and Miami. They have been impressive with no quit.
Team like Houston could learn a lot about what it takes |

Honestly?
KCP/LBJ/AD tie
If I HAD to pick I'd go with AD as his defensive presence and dominance at times not only cooled off Butler but set the tone for the Lakers on that end.
And while not as aggressive on offense, he hit some clutch shots, including a huge Dagger 3 to clinch the win (after blocking JB). |

Seriously. I'm like Jerry West, now, too. Blood pressure goes up during big games, I get cranky and antsy, kick the fish, etc. During the games I screw around on the internet and check ESPN every 10 minutes. If they're up big in the 4th, I'll go ahead and watch the last few minutes. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Same. I can watch for the most part but I won't lie for a lot of today I was just checking into the game thread, hoping to see a page full of excited Laker fans. |

The one thing this game didn't have.
Really looking forward to a game where the refs let the players decide it.
I feel this game had a weird flow to it, officiating wise, where the referee's called the 4th differently from the previous 3 quarters. Which I think hurts the team that was benefiting the most, because the things that were working before just aren't working now. It leads to some ugly basketball.
I think the thing that would make basketball more enjoying to watch would be an evenly called game. Sometimes I think that can be alleviated with just having another official on the court. With the 3 ref system they sometimes are screened out of the action, as they have to watching each other at the same time that they're watching the action. |

How can you not watch the games? Isnβt that the whole point of the entertainment? To each his own.
I run the entire roller coaster of emotions watching the Lakers, especially in the playoffs. Muttering under my breath and getting excited when great plays occur. My wife knows itβs b-ball season when she hears me talking to the TV, claiming βthatβs a foulβ or β call it on both endsβ.
These Fβn Finals games are taking years off an old manβs life. But I still watch every minute of every game. Can not imagine not watching.
One game to go! |
