We could cobble enough salary to make those work
THT + Nunn+Johnson works for Gordon.
Does Hou make that deal? If you throw in a unprotected first. Other teams reportedly offered a first for Gordon and they said no.
Do the Lakers make that deal? Well, I don’t think they want Jeanie walking the move statement back, so they will make some move if Kyrie fails.
I don’t think Indiana wants anything we have.
I don’t hate that HOU deal. Honestly, we need to make it if we don’t get another shooter.
One advantage with that deal is that everyone slots in nicely:
Seasonal 10 man
Westbrook Walker
Gordon Reaves
James Brown
Davis Gabriel
Bryant Jones
Out of the rotation bench:
JTA,Christie
You could sign two vets like Bledsoe to cover Walker if he can’t run the point and Carmelo for more shooting/experience.
And you still have Swider and Pippen on 2 ways:
You have a 15th spot for Jay Huff for more C depth. _________________ Darvin |

Honestly, Russ or no Russ, the Lakers can be competitive if Reaves and THT both take a leap and we can depend on Nunn to be normal career production.
I have faith that Reaves will make the leap. Not sure about THT, seems to be a confidence thing with him. Nunn can’t be depended on until we see him actually play regular season games. |

I wouldn't doubt these guys get better over the summer, especially Reaves. I think he has a higher expectation for himself as a player and if he can hone in on that 3-Ball, the Lakers are a different team!
Team chemistry is hard to build and although us fans have been hard on Russ, the truth is, Wade, LBJ and Bosh didn't get it done in the first year they were together, it took sometime to gel together. Any new FAs we bring in, could be allow for the same concern. Russ has to realize though, that playing in LA for the Lakers is totally different and there is a great amount of pressure to perform and compete at the highest level, no excuses! |

Dennis84mtrash lol, I'd take him back for a vet min tho, back to his 6th man role, especially if we ship out players for Gordon |

I don’t remember anyone fumbling the bag quite like Dennis Schroder, not even the most recent case in Nerlens Noel.
Also, if you thought AD was street clothes, wait until you see Eric Gordon. |

Latrell Sprewell was the first to come to mind. He had to feed his family |

I thought Dennis played well for us.
But the Cs seem to have played better without him.
So weird how his game has dropped? Or maybe expectations on him changed. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

Dennis Schroder played for Mike Budenholzer in Atlanta.
He is familiar with the system that Darvin Ham wants to implement. He is also familiar with being Russell's backup.

Isn't that good for us? bullet dodged? I think we should count our blessings once again. Looking at the Schroeder debacle, how we gave up a frp for him and even offered him a $84M contract, you can't help but wonder if Pelinka really got lucky building up our 2020 roster. |

Buddy is overhyped (cool name though) & Kyrie could be more of a 2023
pipe. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Kyrie- Dennis - Scottie Pippen Jr is a nice trio rotation at the point guard position |
