Looks like Ron's picking up Kobes' word. They are the executing brothers.

PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 5:35 pm    Post subject: The Lakers NEED to lose Game 4

Strictly for financial reasons...

1) Jazz aren't gonna win this series anyway. Down 3-0, no team in history has ever come back. This Jazz team gonna do it against us?? LOL not in this lifetime.

2) Lakers go back home for Game 5, they make $5 million in ticket sales. Money goes straight into Buss's pockets and can help ease the financial burden of the hefty salaries he's had to pay this year.

3) Lakers get to celebrate domination of Jazz in front of their hometown faithful. More Jack Nicholson saying F YOU to the refs.

4) Lakers-Suns series can't start until this weekend anyway, might as well play a game on Thursday in place of the "practice" they would have had if they had swept the Jazz. Also, gives us fans something to watch instead of 4 nights of no basketball.

I think Buss would gladly give up the extra five mill if it means one less game of wear and tear and potential injuries to his star players giving him a better chance at earning even more when his team wins the whole thing.

You want to win a series asap. The longer the series goes on the bigger the risk of injuries.

^^^ LOL if they need rest, they should retire...this is the freakin playoffs, not a granny over-65 retirement home league. Every player at this point of the season should be ready to go 24/7, if they're not they need to be at the gym or should retire immediately.

5 million dollars or one extra game while risking injuries that will end our chances?

Pretty easy choice IMO.

What's an extra $5million if someone gets injured and become the first team to cough up a 3-0 lead?

If you're afraid of injuries, get a dog.

Seriously, this is the NBA, it's not a granny league. If anyone is scared they're gonna get injured, stay home or retire. Or they should be at the gym making their bodies in tip-top shape.

No Lakers should be scared of an injury, if they are they need to retire ASAP.

OK, WE WILL LOSE IN YOUR DREAM.

GAME 4, for me, IS A MUST WIN. No logic needed, it is what it is.

you lose one game, you risk giving the other team the momentum in the series.

The Jazz can easily come back from 3 down to beat the Lakers. You can't discount that.

The bigger prize is down the road.. so sweep the Jazz and go after the Suns.

BTW, Jerry Buss has plenty of money... so don't worry about his "financial burden"

Hmm awesome!!!

So we play a game 5 and Pau or Kobe rolls an ankle...when they could have won in 4?
