I don't want to make it a comparison on legacies and what not but the next time someone says...Kobe's passing was like (insert celebrity/icon). Just stop. Right there. Come back to me when a soldier battling Isis is rocking the jersey of your favorite celeb.
Nothing in recent memory is close...at all. More likely than not, Kobe was your damn hero's hero.
Agreed. I already felt this way, but it was solidified after visiting LA Live for the first post tragedy last night. I've never seen or experienced anything like it before. The only other passing that I can remember being this shocking and of importance to the entire planet was Princess Diana. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.

Global.
Your hero's hero.
China has been in lock down mode because of the Corona virus, otherwise we would see tons of more tributes from them. They loved Kobe, people call in sick in order to watch the last game of Kobe.

Damn you Johnny
I think Bin Sulayem was showing his hands were bigger than Kobe's
*I am fortunate that I am able to smile now while crying.
Thankful that I know about this man and know if I needed motivation or excitement
The Mamba was there.
He is still right here with us just maybe he won't ever get any older in our Hearts eyes now. Love you Kobe
Remember folks..Love is a Verb, an action word.

I saw that there were more searches in China about Kobe than about the virus
Hope this is alright. I know the grammar isn't the best.
Dear Kobe,
From the moment we watched you play basketball, a game, an entertaining experience...to watching game winner after game winner. The failures, hoisting up air ball threes against Utah, cause no one else could, or would. To the championship moments against Indiana. Shaq fouling out of that game, and you winked letting the world know the new king has arrived. And you did.
To the spurs missed free throw, only to get it back and score on a crucial play. To the uncanny 3's against Portland to end regulation and also win it in over time sealing a seed for the playoffs.
To the moments of absolute pain...broken hand...but never broken spirit. To the hard years following the 3 peat, the first dynasty of the 2000's. The hard fought years to get back to the top once more...MVP MVP MVP...father...brother...to the boo's of Boston and Philly in the all-star game cause 15-1 record. Never been done. to the trials and hard fought moments...the trial one of the hardest...2 more banners life at a high,,,,but not the highest, that comes later. 5 rings...5 banners that you helped give the city of Los Angeles.
To becoming a mentor, a leader, the great Kobe Bryant, black Mamba. You were a hero to some, a legend to other, an award winner...creative thinker..none of these mean more than your true second act...mogul...father...husband...teacher...coach...Icon...missed.
The achilles that was walked under your own power. Shooting two important free throws to playoffs that you wouldn't be there for because of it.
I remember the 81 the 60 in your last game as a Laker versus Utah, full circle.
Yes, it's hard...yes it's tough...yes you changed the world with your goofy 17 year old self, declaring for the NBA with sunglasses on your bald head. that goofy smile.
Everyone wonders how you did these incredible things but not me. Because you were and have always been the black mamba...mamba mentality...You knew you'd succeed in life, in basketball, in retirement, and in your second act as husband...father...mogul...creative genius...award winner.
You strived for greatness in everything you could. Forever and for eternity...I...we thank you and miss you and we all hope to have that mamba mentality in our own lives so keep that mamba mentality and never forget the great Kobe Bean Bryant
