Tommorow's War, finally a great watch, nice story lines/action
No Sudden Move, meh, slow, meat of the story basically the last 5 mins

I think this actually says that people want quality films, and expected a Soderberg noir to be better than it was. OTOH people know that action movies and summer blockbusters are typically all style, no substance and as long as they're entertaining enough then it served its purpose.

just different taste, what's brilliant to you might be boring to someone else and vice versa... art
btw, about to check 'Let him go' on HBO Max, we'll see

I am looking forward to the Paul Verhoeven lesbian nun movie very much.
Only if it stars Elizabeth Berkley.
If that duo doesn't get your Gina Gershon - Elizabeth Berkeley senses tingling, I don't know, Stu.
Well, if it could, I'm sure it would.
If a mustachiod Henry Cavill racking his guns in Mission Impossible could get me a little hot and bothered, Virginie Efira getting nailed to the cross could stand to do a little for you, Stu. _________________ Under New Management

IMO Black Widow doesn't live up to the hype. Lots of action. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it 5. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay the $29.95, I watched it with my IPTV Eminence. Don't take my critique to be a good one. I just didn't get it.
EDIT; I rewatched Black Widow with a better understanding of the plot. It's better than I thought. It's an action movie with action front to back. The dialog had some cute quips. Change the 1 to 10 to an 8. Worth a rewatch. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Phyllis Thaxter is in two movies leaving the Criterion Channel at the end of the month - Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (1944; LeRoy) about the Doolittle raid and the noir picture No Man of Her Own (Liesen; 1950) - and boy was she a pretty lady who does not look at all like a "Phyllis." She and Babs Stanwyck competing for the same man in the latter film in particular is...highly charged. _________________ Under New Management

I hate that they decided to wedge Captain Marvel between Infinity War and Endgame, much rather Black Widow be released between those two.
Finally peeped The Dirt (re: Crue). They found a 1978 Dave Roth doppleganger for one scene. I was wondering if that was a Deep Fake, but if they were usin that, they'd have actually had a guy who looked like Vince Neal instead of one with a cleft chin. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

I think Infinity War and End Game should have been back to back. Then again, maybe a hiatus was a good thng to build the want for a conclusion. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar (2021) - The flopsweat on this one reeks. I don't even dislike it, it's fine and has some laughs, but it has a real "Austin Powers 4" vibe to how effort-full it is. _________________ Under New Management

I think the 1 year break was good. It did end up creating such a crazy hype for Endgame... really can't see any movie franchises topping this craze

I'm always surprised when people have strong feelings about a cookie cutter movie like Black Widow.
It was 100% what I expected. It would've taken ALOT for it to exceed my expectations or disappoint me. And it did neither. The direction, writing, and acting were all fine. Wasn't really my cup of tea. I prefer a little more visceral action in spy flicks (like Atomic Blonde, Bourne Identity, some of the good Bond movies). But going into the film, I knew I wouldn't get that in a Disney+ movie. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Did you see it in a theater or rent it? _________________ Under New Management
Let him go - HBO Max, slow start but end with a quick burst of psycho action ending, lazy day off watch recommend. Indian character kinda unnecessary lol
Yeah I dont get all the hate for BW. The recent MCU shows, along with some of the movies, have been about just hanging out with the characters we love rather than being all about plot. This one even more so since it's essentially a flashback for a character we've watched for over a decade. To judge it in a vacuum kind of misses the point IMO.

This is me, but with Orgies of Edo (1969) and Teruo Ishii's Abnormal Love film cycle. _________________ Under New Management
