I will be amazed if the NBA and player’s union come up with a workable solution to this. I don’t see how you can stop players from requesting trades, or how you can stop those trade requests being leaked to the media.

People have been complaining about Bucher's lack of credibility for at least a decade. You can make a very long list of the things he's reported which turned out to be wrong.
He's kind of in the Stephen A. Smith class of people who get attention by saying bold/outlandish things.
The difference is Smith tends to make sweeping generalizations or purely subjective comments that can never be proven right or wrong, while Bucher reports objective facts that often prove to be wrong.

It does amuse me that the vast majority of "news" articles are just a blogger quoting the speculation of some reporter and labeling the reporter an "insider" to suggest the reporter knows more than he actually does.
But I get that's part of the game to satisfy fans who want to pretend they are getting some inside scoop.
That video sure has a misleading title. It's just Jovan Buha kicking around the same stuff that everyone else is talking about. I do wonder how many of these deals people continually talk about – the Nets deal, the Indy deal, the Utah deal, the Knicks deal – even exist as realistic possibilities.
There has been so much speculation topped on so many rumors that nothing is really certain at this point.

If the Lakers are a play-in team again this season, Lebron may decide to retire with the all-time points record. I doubt Lebron wants to be a part of a rebuild, which is exactly what will happen in 2023. Cap space and draft picks.

LeBron wants to win, it’s been said by local writers and LeBron.. who has constantly said that he wants to win more championships, if the Irving deal falls apart, you have to decide at time point of blowing it up, Hield/Turner aren’t gonna do much besides help us win more games by avoiding the play-in if we can’t create a championship roster it’s time to go on a full rebuild.

Signing the extension means you are committing to the Organization, holding off the extension means you are evaluating.
