Bynum didn't box out once tonight. Not once. |
You know, there's something i was trying to figure out: how dallas was just crashing/owning the boards.. AB did get a few, but i suspect you're spot on.. _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Did you see how many times the Dallas guards just blow by Fish and Farmar, the bigs have to rotate and their man just crashes the boards, can't box out when you're out of position. |
It would've been nice if I saw Bynum even do that, I don't know what the hell he was doing out there on defense today. He got a couple baskets though, I'm sure he's happy. Not enough spacing. I saw a few times tonight where Kobe and Bynum were trying to post their man up at the same time... |

Bynum leaked out once every five plays to get a transition basket. He was boxed out by Dampier. Content to "go over the back" for rebounds. He played one-sided basketball. You can't win games when your anchor doesn't want to play defense. |

In what way? I know he missed a lot of shots...I counted at least 4 that were in and out...it's not like he was just jacking them up all night. Well at least I don't think he was. lol. |

Shocking game tonight. It seems the Clipper game wasnt much of a wake up call. A loss in this fashion I would hope should do the job to get the team refocused. Im trying not to forget that this team is learning how to repeat. But this was such a depressing defeat. I dont mind dropping a few games but not like this, to the Mavs, on our home court, bad calls or not.
1 thing I am pretty pissed off with is our joking around on the bench, which seems to be led by Jordan Farmar.. get down to f-ing business and stop assing around you clowns. Fook this new ritual thing.. The last thing we want to do is feel "over confident" and end up with egg on our faces like Prince Lebrick James and his fellow jesters of 08-09 season.
Not happy!! |

Have to agree. We didnt play great tonight but that second quarter completely took us out of the game with the bogus calls. We never recovered. |

Didn't get to see the game tonight. But HIGHLY disappointed that we couldn't handle the MAVS in our own building. I thought maybe a title would change it, but nope, lakers continue to have a fondness for losing to lesser teams. I'm actually glad I missed it. Might as well mark off our bobcat games as losses in advance.
It's gonna be a long rollercoaster of a season. Everyone might as well strap in and keep their blood pressure medicine close by. |

Yeah refs played an instrumental part in Kobe's horrible shooting.
Turnovers too, refs made sure Lakers turned it over by activating the magnetic censors!! |

I was curious so I looked back at last year--the first one we dropped was our 8th game (and we didn't lose again until 7 games after that). Obviously we didn't have Gasol tonight, but given our record at home against these guys--and despite them being a quality team--I was hoping we might still stand a chance. I don't believe in throw away games though because I think Boston is going to post an absolutely sick record this year. That's going to be tough to keep up with, and whether or not this is just the start of the year, losses count the same at the end for the homecourt advantage deciding factor (in my mind at least). I guess the previous threepeat Laker team started off a little shaky, but I have a hard time using that team as a comparison since it had one of the most dominating players ever.
It will be interesting to see if the Lakers can handle an always dangerous Hawks team without Gasol Sunday. |

just got back from the game and the lakers def were out of sycn...the refs surely didnt help that IMO...that questionable call on lamar while guarding dirk was key...lamar was playing him pretty well up until that point and it handcuffed lamar and opened the game for dirk and the mavs...also the bogus offensive foul calls on artest were a killer as well...i sure hate to see cuban ponding his fist like they won the title...if i was near him i would tell him to look up in the rafters and at least see what world championship banners look like....fricken jerk _________________ RIP.....Pop (AJ Sr.) 7/09/23-01/20/09

My first ever going to a professional game and they lost. Oh well, I had fun yelling at the players to just shooting it near the end of game. |

Too much iso, not enough ball movement. 19 assists for this team isn't enough. I remember 3 plays in a row where Lamar tried to do his best AI imitation. Unexceptable. _________________ A key that has the ability to unlock many locks is a master key. But a lock that can be opened with any key is useless. |

that was probably Kobe's worst game ever...at least top 5
No Pau...Artest still cant hit a shot...Farmar still hasnt been traded...Sasha should never see the court...Odom was Odom...no where to be seeing...and Phil didnt let an effective player be more effective (Brown)
but guess what...its game 2!!! 80 games left...relax...if anything its a good wake up call..."Lakers...this isnt going to be a cake walk" _________________ 2008-2010 Finals. 28.9 PTS 6.1 REB 5.4 AST 2.1 STLs |
