Really hard to understate how little we need Vando.
I totally forgot we didn't have Rui in this game. Haven't missed him...
But yeah, he'll be back soon, and there's just no room for Vando in this rotation.
I would not be so sure if Vando puts his mind to erasing the minutes of Hayes and Wood. There is nothing either of them can do physically that he can’t replicate if ge puts in the effort to do it. He can rebound, he can defend, he can finish at the rim, and he just needs to shoot open corner shots
He is not nearly the shooter Wood is. Guys actually close out on Wood. Defenders get ready for the rebound when Vando get the ball.
And Wood can actually put the ball onf the floor and take to the rim. Vando cannot.
Wood is also better at finishing lobs, and Hayes is MUCH better. Vando puts in plenty of effort--that's not in question. It's a matter of skill, and he's far behind both in their respective categories.

Kind of off topic, how come the Lakers are wearing their white uniforms so often this season? I thought they were Sunday's exclusive.
That hasn't been a thing for a years now. When Nike took over the NBA game jerseys in 2017, they began to call the shots on which team wears which jersey on each night.
There are no longer "home", "road", or "alternate" jerseys. It's Association/Statement/Icon/City. For the Lakers it's White/Purple/Gold/Black, respecitvely.
Nike being the cash cow that it is, basically has every team create a new "city" jersey every season to keep selling jerseys.
Nice solid professional win. Time for them to start being a bit more consistent and get more wins.
Having Reddish and Vanderbilt back out there helps. Rui back soon will only add to that depth. Davis was impressive, James was incredible with that 360 layup, and DLO playing pesky defense was nice to see.
It was good to see them get a little chippy and play with some intensity. I really wish they would embrace the movement and passing game they show glimpses of having. So much more entertaining.

He’s 6’9 260lbs+, that’s crazy difficult for a guy with his size and weight. At his age, he’s not suppose to do moves like that. Spin move to beat his man, followed by another spin mid-air to finish on the side of the rim.
