Saturday, 6pm PST
TV: KCAL

* For Jazz: Korver & Price still out, Kirilenko doubtful (unlikely..?), However they've beaten Spurs and Magic, just this week!

* For Lakers: B2B, and first of a 5 game road trip.

Go Kobe's index finger!

Go Lakers!

After all this "let's see what happens once they get out on the road" talk, I'd like the Lakers to have a dominant road trip. Here's the next few games:

Quote:
Sat, Dec 12 @ Utah 9:00 PM
Tue, Dec 15 @ Chicago 8:00 PM
Wed, Dec 16 @ Milwaukee 8:00 PM
Sat, Dec 19 @ New Jersey 8:00 PM
Sun, Dec 20 @ Detroit 6:00 PM
Tue, Dec 22 Oklahoma City 10:30 PM
Fri, Dec 25 Cleveland 5:00 PM

Even though the other games on this 5 game road trip are back-to-backs, this game against the Jazz seems like the toughest one - not only are the Jazz the best team we'll see on this trip, they have been very good at home over the last few years (and will be itching to avenge their 6 pt quarter). If we win tonight, we could be on a very nice win streak going into our Christmas day matchup...

Agree completely, this Utah game is the biggest test they've faced outside the Denver game. That one they failed miserably, lets see what happens tomorrow. If we win, I can see us with a 19 game winning streak going into the Phoenix game.

Before Kobe hurt his finger, I was predicting a 5-0 run on this road trip, but now I'm much less confident. As heroic as Kobe was last night, it clearly affects his game quite a bit, and never more so than in the first few days. Tonight's gonna be a tough one.

First,i do believe Kobe can adjust ,but not that fast,so we are very dangerous in tonight game. But just hope someone can step up,and hope Kobe plays more post in the game,it will be better to him, considering his injured right hand.

And maybe we should think of that way,it is a chance for kobe to make his left hand shooting be perfect,if this come true,Kobe is really much greater.

insert random 'hot' guys like Boozer Ron Ron

I would just LOVE if we could somehow win a game with our DEFENSE, not likely but let's see. I hope Kobe can play at least to his normal self, damn finger.

We currently have THE BEST defense in the league, at least statistics wise.

Our boys aren't losing... they look focused out there.

The only thing that worries me is officiating, which is hardly ever fair in SLC. For a team that practically lives in the paint we already shoot too few FTs and I don't expect a change tonight.

GO LAKERS!

even if Kobe has a bad shooting night (say 20-30%), he'll be fighting in the line of fire, giving it all he got. Plus providing leadership to the guys, the team will be alright!

We still got Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Artest (and Sasha ). That said, Odom will need to pick up his production, to something like 14 pts/7 rebounds - no more stinker 4 point games.

As long as Boozer, Okur and Williams don't have monster game, we should take this one. GO LAKERS!

It will be tough IMO. Utah is dangerous at home. Jennings will dominate Fish, and he will score a lot. At Palace it´s always tuff, because we play against their team and the referees. And then we face 2 good teams at home.
Yes, we have potential to win against everybody, but it will be tuff. And Kobe is injured. But I think we came out with a loss or 2.
Today, I think we can win, if we use our frontcourt.

If he's doubtful, he'll be back. Typical ploy, trying to catch the Lakeshow off guard.

Good question.

If it's Bynum; the Lakers can cover that rotating Pau to center and giving LO more PT. Not ideal but no different than last season's championship roster.

If Artest is in foul trouble we're screwed.

Here's hoping Kobe finds a way to play through the finger trouble; he's got a knack for finding ways to do such things.

Lakers 105
Jazz 97

Why does it feel that this is the game where the Lakers will put up a lack luster performance and get whipped to snap their winning streak.

If I was a betting man, it would definitely be on the Jazz tonight.

Lakers have a history of getting their asses kicked on a b2b going to Denver or Utah.

Hope they prove me wrong though.

Apparently Kobe has some kind of stomach 'issue' and is on an IV. I just heard it on the radio.
