Or should I say is that you Red Auerbach?

Red Auerbach and the Celtics had a monopoly on the best players. They pretty much had at least half of the top 15 or so players.

good to see a line up of brown, kobe, artest, bynum and odom out there in the fourth. The defense stepped up quite a bit.

Sasha the first off the bench.

Bynum gets no looks and sits way too long after lighting it up early (as usual)

Pau stays out there and plays like booboo

Shannon and Farmar combo ignored until the 4th

I've got to give phil some props for salvaging this game from him own destruction. Great job keeping Pau on the bench in favor of Andrew to close the game.

The Celtics was doubling Bynum in the 4th when he didn't even have the ball .

Cant argue with 10 rings, a guy who out coached to win them.

Now if that guy had arguably the 2 best players to ever play this game and the best modern day center on his winning teams, oh wait...

PostPosted: Sun Jan 31, 2010 4:09 pm    Post subject: Phil Jackson's Substitutions - Celtics Game

Brilliant when the first guy off the bench was not who you thought it was going to be - Sasha... I thought he played great D in the few minutes he played, and Lakers built a nice lead.

Bynum is never as good after he goes to the bench, almost would like to see him play longer thru into the 2nd quarter - even though he picks up a couple of fouls - he was playing amazing when he went to bench.

The dilemma becomes how to bring Odom in - could have even waited a bit longer before he entered the game - Lakers were doing well already.
But then how does he get more minutes? Maybe should play him even some at SG - he should be getting 30 minutes per game to be effective, not the 20 he played.

Farmar played well, he should have played more - especially to get onto Rondo more who was having a field day.

Kobe - Pau and Odom had off games - its amazing we won - cant wait till we toast them in LA - but forget them - I want the Cavs rematch now.

Walton is out of shape, he needs minutes to get better and with Phil shortening the bench - he may be one of the guys who will suffer.

Sasha played inspired D, so right now Walton is looking at the 10th guy on the team - thats too many players to go to.

Yep, the 10 time championship coach definitely could learn a few lessons from you. You'd clearly have won 12 if you were Phil. That's why he gets paid 10+ mil a year while u get paid $6.50 an hour.
