this would be the 10th straight loss @portland. the league loves dramatic streaks like this and it is extremely common for them to be broken and 10. that's why i'm guessing it will be a win. some decent refs will probably be assigned for once. but yea if it was any number besides 10 I would mark it a guaranteed loss.

besides that last rigged game @portland got some negative media attention because of the massive FT differential. league wants that topic to cool off a bit.

Hopefully their PGs will go off for a combined 100, and Number Two gets thoroughly embarrassed in the process. The way I see it, if he won't willingly step down like Walton did last season, then he'll have to be beaten into submission.

I wanna believe in a win here to make up for Denver, but this team plays so scared in this building, it almost feels like it's too much to ask for. Playing it on a back-to-back doesn't help either.

Whatever, just hope for the best.

Well, they didn't show up today, so they shouldn't be tired tomorrow.

Hopefully. Though at this point, it seems the Blazers can put together a team of scrubs up against a healthy LA team and still pull off an easy win, so long as the game's being played in the Rose Garden.

Dont even get on that plane.... stay in LA.
Its always story, lakers start okay and then blazers guards goes in to making every three pointer contest and then lakers will have their fourth team foul 9 minutes to go in the second quarter....BALL GAME.
But i am real excited to hear their beloved announcers.

They have a positive score against us since 2005. We are inconstant, so we can win, but it will be tuff.

We have 17-12 against teams above .500, horrible.

By the way. This will be Kobe's 1000th career regular season game.

These 13 and a half years of watching him play have gone by so fast I can't believe it.

my prediction:

the lakers will come out on fire and will actually take a slim lead at the half time but the blazers will run us out of the gym in the 2nd half because our fatigue and poor defense. sorta like the 1st Denver game of this season.

Miller is going to see Fisher and think that he can top his career highe 52 points that he got last week. He might even do it.

Regardless of who all is out, going to be tough to pull a W, especially in a B2B situation.

Given how mind-numbingly mediocre we've been playing over the past three weeks, a loss is pretty likely.

I'll hold out some hope that I'm wrong.

For the 1st since we got Pau i'm going into a game thinking we're going to lose. I'm usually confident that we can be anybody anywhere but the way the season is going i'm losing it. We haven't won in Portland in lord knows when. It doesn't help that we're on a back-to-back. I'm hoping we can pull if off tho.
