not for Kobe, Gasol almost cost us another freaking game tonight. missing three out of four free throws down the stretch. missed that 3 ft point blank shot with less than a minute to play.

He was 8-18fg and had 3 crucial missed FTs in the clutch and 1 horrible miss from point blank range with seconds left. Also Randolph (bleep) him up.

BTW that play should be our go to play. Something phil did right, obviously kobe taking one 5 feet away from the three was not his plan but as long as it gets kobe the ball.

Could someone recap the game for me? Just briefly, because I missed it. Please?

LG posters complained bitterly. some of them quit early. the team played terribly. some guy came along and tied it up and then won it with some clutch 3 pointers.

From the box score, seems like Lamar reverted to invisible man status. What happened?

Hot start by Kobe.
Kobe facilitated.
No Machine, teammates stunk.
Kobe saved the day.

For more details, see DB thread later.

Mayo torched Kobe all night. Ended up with 25 pts.

Randolph had 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals, 3blks on 8-12fg shooting. Pau got dominated today on defense.

Another myth perpetuated on lg. Rewatch how many points mayo actually scored on kobe vs the amount of times kobe disrupted his game.

Since I was working late tonight and had to replace my DVR recently (lost my future scheduled programming), I missed the game.

Thus, I thought this thread was a good idea

Yeah remember when kobe shot under 30% one time what a scrub. Him and Gasol are such trash. Gasol only carried this team when Kobe was out helping us achieve the single best record in the nba the year after he outplayed Dwight Howard in the finals.

Yeah he sooo deserves to bashed by Laker fans...This is why this fanbase isn't respected and has the reputation as ungrateful (bleep).

errr, please check his shooting percentage, turnovers and free throw shooting. box scores only tells one side of the story.

And how much others scored on him. Like when Rondolph and Hadoodoo abused him.

We played terrrible and probably deserved to lose this game. We were fortunate to pull this game out. This is a team game. We win as a team and we lose as a team.

Pau was definitely a mixed bag tonight. 8-18...for someone who shoots 12 feet and in, that's not very good. I'd rather him take 11-12 shots and make 7 or 8 if that's what he's gonna do with the extra looks.

And the late game bricking at the foul line...come on.

But overall, his numbers were good.

And some dumb missed FT's. How nervous does this guy get in crunchtime at the line? Good god Pau! Make them!

That is deep in the Spanish culture. That said from a Spaniard. We are having now a generation of sportmen and women who are not afraid of winning, but Gasol is not one of those.

Yet Gasol, even with his anticlutch play gets the job done most of the times. BUt don;t ask him to bail you out of a close game cause he will choke.
