Slow it up.
Control tempo.
Get the ball inside.
Run the offense.
No quick jumpers.
Make them play OUR game.
Control the boards.
Prepare for their high screen-and-roll - Hawes can hit J's with 3-point range.
Prepare for their zone D.
Talk, talk, talk on D. _________________ Everything. Changes.
Whoever Spencer Hawes is guarding should be receiving the ball every time down the floor. Hawes' 1 on 1 D is the equivalent to Brian Cook.
Beno is gonna go off though. Our D at that position is going to make him look like Pistol Pete in his prime...
What makes this game close is mismatches. The Kings benefit in that Carl Landry is too quick for every Laker big except Odom. Hawes brings the Laker bigs outside for better spacing. Donte Greene is bigger and faster than Bill Artest. Fisher can't guard Udrih. That leaves Bryant and Tyreke Evans. If the Lakers just keep Evans at his season averages, 20-5-5, then the Lakers look good. Evans knows everyone is now looking closely at the numbers. This game should be close which makes it a good game to watch.
