Steps to Keep the SUNS under 100 points
1. Pray Gasol can stop Amare.
2. No more help defense
3. Skin to skin pressure defense.
4. Let Nash shoot 3 in PnR
Result: Suns cools down with its shooting and eventually shoot themselves out of the game. _________________ Phil: You know sometimes I criticize myself for not exploring more of what I considered the modern game, which is you know, kick in the ball and shoot 3s, but the principle of the game is teamwork and it always has been. |

Play them rough. Kinda what the Magic did to the Celtics last night.
I don't mean take em out with 2 concussions, but those were freak episodes that won't repeat.
The thing is use our man Ron "Pitbull" Artest and his mate Kobe "Dobermann" Bryant to shut down their perimeter play.
Then you have Pau "The lengthy one" with hands all over that midget (for a big) Amar'e, and Derek "I have the body of a football player and yet all I do is shoot 3's" Fisher will teach Nash a lil something about playoffs basketball.
Then you keep Dumbo and The Frog out of the game, Lamar under control and Bynum on limited minutes and we'll certainly win the game. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

1. The Suns have failed to score 100 points twice in the entire 2010 playoffs.
2. Since 2008 playoffs, LAL have allowed 1 game 5 to go over 100.
3. LAL are 8-0 in game 5 since 2008.
4. The LAL started playing their best game in GM5 WCF vs Denver in 2009
Lakers main challenge is to hold them below 100 points. FORGET GM 1&2. You can't expect to win championship allowing 113 points in 4 game even when its Vs. the suns.
We have to knock them on their backs, play hard a physical. The LAL must expose the Suns main weakness and that is experience in playoffs (beside Nash & Amare). | cant stop the suns from scoring 100. if the refs will alow them to shoot 30fts+ vs our 15 or less. |

Much easier said than done. In this kind of series we gotta be the first team to reach 110 to win. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

1. Pray Gasol can stop Amare.- thats up to the officials
2. No more help defense - makes sense. but you have to help if a guy is getting 2 points or fouls everytime he approaches the basket. good call or bad. you have to help to protect said player from fouling out.
3. Skin to skin pressure defense.-this is a NO NO unless the refs will let us play defense. they didn't in games 3 and 4. again its on the refs.
4. Let Nash shoot 3 in PnR- nope, let nash shoot long 2's in the pNR. tell whoever it is to go over the screen to keep nash from jacking it up with ease. basically ride behind nash. watch out for him to jump backwards into you. and make him take the long 2 pointer. sit on amare at all times. roll with him. |

The sports books are all over the place with this game. One of the more active gambling sites started two days ago at 6.5, favoring the Lakers to an astounding 9.5 point spread this morning. Later it settled back down to 6, which is lower than when it opened two days ago. It looks like they got more money taking Phoenix with the points and then adjusted the spread accordingly.
Most of the books are placing the Lakers as the favorite, by 7.5 to 8 points.

John Barry was on Rome this morning - picked LA.
