Everytime something like this is let out to the public, it most likely means it won't happen. Too much pressure is put to it to get it done and everything becomes to transparent to get a deal accomplished. _________________ 1,2,3 RING. |

Dwight really wants to one see the number #12 next to numbers #13, #33 and eventually #34 up in the rafters. Who can blame him?
Orlando needs to ship his [bleep] out West. |

This person may be familiar with Dwight's plans, but he obviously isn't familiar with the Lakers' salary cap situation. Lose him for nothing. Yeah, sure, he's coming for the vet minimum. |

Not always. Everyone basically knew Shaq was going to be a Laker way before it happened. |

But please have him do it while there's no collective bargaining agreement in force. Otherwise there could be charges of tampering that would be enforceable. |

And look at what the Knicks had to give up just to get Carmelo. |

I might be wrong but we have a team option on Bynum, if we let Drew go, we would have space to sign DH12. Or anyway, we would make it some way... |

Yeah but it's inevitable. Rumors of his desire to play here have been simmering for years. Now writers are going to write about it because it will get a lot of eyeballs and web hits. We've already heard reports now that Dwight wants nothing but LA, that Dwight wants Chris Paul to come to Orlando, that Dwight wants a max no matter where it is, etc. Nobody knows, and it's unlikely the Magic trade him at all. If they do, it's not likely to happen until the deadline/summer of 2012. Until then people will speculate, it's not going to happen, and when it doesn't people will say our FO sucks. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I'm all for Dwight coming here, but using all our trade chips to get him leaves with Fisher/Blake as point guards. Same problem, we'll just have a more athletic beast in the middle chasing point guards off of failed P&R defense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So after he and Kobe 3 peat(thus Kobe's career ending with 8 rings matching his original jersey number) they're going to feud but this time Kobe leaves (via retirement) and Dwight is the new face of the Lakers...
Then another Brash teenager from Philadelphia comes in at the same time and we have
Shaq vs Kobe the Sequel. |

And a couple of his friends, who actually aren't afraid to use their real names, have said that he wants to stay in Orlando. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Or LeBron. LeBron-to-Miami was pretty much a done deal by the morning of The Decision, and people were tuning in to see if he wouldn't choose Miami. |

Yeah, replace Bynum with Howard and we get swept by the Mavs. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Under today's rules, as long as we have Kobe and Gasol we won't have cap space. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Funny then that he hasn't committed to the contract extension that he's had for at least a month or so now. If he wants to stay he can sign the contract extension today and be done with it. It wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest that he wants to explore his options. |

D12 staying in Orlando certainly is the strongest possibility.
But he's stupid if he does. Orlando will never win a ring. Their team is a disaster with a bloated payroll. Everyone knows that.
He'll be stuck with a smaller market, where everyone knows he dreams of a bigger stage.
If he wants to be on a
1) contender
2) big market
3) franchise with legacy of big men
Only one logical choice, and thats best for D12. He needs to impose his will. He can still be a nice guy, but he has to do whats best for Dwight. _________________ The journey to 17 begins... |

We will be replacing more than that. Obviously our PG situation blows chunks. _________________ The journey to 17 begins... |
