CDR was only the 3rd leading scorer on his team in Italy at 12.3 pts. 4th in minutes. Biggest issue is that his 3 point shooting is mediocre and we already have MWP and Ebanks, who are both better than him.
Training camp fodder. _________________ "He may say it's not you, it's him.... but it's really you."
He's out due to the bone bruise not the injections from 3 weeks ago. He had the injection during the All Star Break last season and was playing for use shortly with no missed games....which is why he was cleared to play last week.
Just to be clear, I believe the "first" procedure to which you refer, was a synvisc injection which is quite different from the German blood spinning procedure but is still a minimally invasive preventative measure.
What you write above kinda sorta makes it sound like Bynum had the German procedure last season as well.
CDR the Gerald Green of this year? _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."

Ebanks is not better than him... CDR has a way better feel for the game..imo and has had way more impact in games than Ebanks ever has..

Sorry, didn't know there were different injections. Thanks for clarifying that. Still, they're keeping him out 3 weeks due to the bone bruise....not the injections.
CDR is a solid pick-up. Hopefully he develops into a decent rotational player for us this year.
Agreed, I think he has a decent shot at making the roster and being our 3rd or 4th wing man.
According to Hoopdata, he has a decent midrange game. Now he just needs to improve on his 32.9% 3p shooting, which sadly would still be like 4th on the team last year.
Does anyone know if he is:
Athletic?
at least an average defender?
A good finisher?
He was one of the guys I'd hope we'd sign last month before we got Meeks.
Going off his reb, looks like he is more a SG than a SF.

Am I the only one who remembers that game in New Jersey back in 2009 when he scored 20 against us before going down with an ankle sprain? _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
CDR is not a scrub. He's had some off the court issues and his game is a bit quirky. But he has a a chance. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
A joke to think Ebanks is better than CDR haha. CDR actually has to be accounted for by the defense, unlike Ebanks who is a 0 on offense.
I hope CDR+ sticks with the team. He most def is there with meeks as far as talent. I would say he's a more creative scorer. I say if Steve Bagel shows up this season while Blake goes missing. Play Meeks @ PG PLay CDR+ @ sg Ebanks @ SF Jamison & Hill up front. thats a team that can keep a lead. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

- This training camp promises to be the most competitive in recent seasons for the Lakers, due to the depth on the back end of the roster. Certain spots have already been won (the starters, Jamison, Jordan Hill, Steve Blake); others like Jodie Meeks and Deven Ebanks look like favorites to earn addition back up minutes. From there, it’s less clear.
Chris Duhon and Earl Clark came over with Howard in the Orlando trade and have shown respective reasons for backup consideration; Darius Morris, Andrew Goudelock, Darius Johnson-Odom and Robert Sacre were all second round picks from the past two drafts, and each has a specific skill set the Lakers like; Chris Douglas-Roberts has had scoring success in the NBA and just signed with the team today; Greg Somogyi and Reeves Nelson had some bright spots in the Vegas summer league; and Ronnie Aguilar is another recent signing who’s been working out with the team the past few weeks.
At least five of those names won’t be on the roster come opening night. NBA teams can keep as many as 15 guys on the roster, but the Lakers have trimmed things down to at most 13 or 14 in recent years to help keep the already massive payroll a bit more lean. Needless to say, training camp practices and preseason games are going to be a battle for many guys on the current roster.

Yeah, but one problem though Meeks can't play or handle the PG position.
