Frankly Stein has the superior track record, but we'll see when the story unfolds. |
Read this from Dime Magazine.....
"Well that didn’t take long.
It was well-known that Andrew Bynum traveled to Germany earlier in the month to receive the same type of revolutionary treatment that Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez have pioneered in recent years on both of the center’s knees.
After being cleared to play in Sixers camp last week, word just hit that Bynum is now going to be out for three weeks. The team said today that Bynum had a bone bruise on his right knee and the rest is just a precaution. He will continue to participate in low-impact conditioning drills, but still this isn’t really a great sign, especially since just last week everything “felt very good.”
http://dimemag.com/2012/10/breaking-news-sixers-to-sit-andrew-bynum-for-3-weeks-due-to-knee-issues/
He had the procedure weeks ago and was cleared from that to play LAST WEEK. Now it's discovered he has a bone bruise on his right knee and will be out for 3 weeks to rest it. He's out due to the bone bruise not the injections from 3 weeks ago. |

barbosa is mos def. playing at least some pg if the lakers sign him.. with the princeton offense and then always having a playmaker on the court in another position (nash, kobe or gasol) will make it work just fine imo
barbosa will get mostly backup pg minutes with some at sg as well depending on matchups and situations i think and meeks will get the majority of the backup sg minutes...
they're not going to just push meeks out of the rotation from the start especially since he's an actual capable defender while also almost having the exact same 3 point stats barbosa has... |

It’s tough to work out specific rotations.
In theory (let’s assume in the playoffs): Nash plays 32 minutes at point guard and Bryant plays 38 minutes at shooting guard, it only leaves 26 minutes to fill at guard. That’s minutes split between Meeks and Barbosa, whom each play 26 minutes. It would only work if Bryant played half of his minutes at small forward. |
i agree with you completely, mike brown has some MAJOR decisions to make throughout the year because there's endless rotation options for this team and it will only get more tough if a player or two from training camp surprises...
i just mostly meant that you can't completely rule out barbosa at pg...
at the same time i highly doubt barbosa or meeks would sign with this current loaded roster without realizing the very real possibility that there minutes would get cut down... |
