Yes, it's a Bleacher report but based on a report from Adrian Wojnarowski, a reputable source.

Dwight Howard: Magic and Lakers Reportedly Involved in 4-Team Talks

The Dwight Howard saga has been ongoing for about a year in Orlando, but it appears as though the Magic may be taking steps toward ending it.

The Magic are discussing a four-team trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers that would send Howard to L.A., as Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

UPDATE: Thursday, Aug. 9 at 1:25 p.m. ET by Mike Chiari

The rumored four-team deal between the Magic, Lakers, Nuggets and 76ers involving Howard has gotten a bit clearer. Wojnarowski is reporting that the teams are discussing what would certainly be a blockbuster trade if it were to come to frutition.

According to Wojnarowski, the deal would involve:

•Lakers receiving Howard and Nuggets forward Al Harrington
•Nuggets would get 76ers forward Andre Iguodala
•Sixers would nab Lakers center Andrew Bynum
•Magic would acquire both Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo and Lakers forward Pau Gasol.
It comes as somewhat of a surprise that the Magic would want Gasol rather than Bynum, but Wojnarowski believes that Gasol would be easier for Orlando to move in an additional deal and that Bynum's contract status may be scaring the Magic off. With that said, Wojnarowski believes that where Bynum and Gasol could end up isn't set in stone.

Bynum Feeling Lakers’ Lack Of Love?

August 9, 2012 · 11:54AM

NBA players won’t report for their pre-training camp physicals for another seven weeks or so, but Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register offered a public one Wednesday to Lakers center Andrew Bynum. To find out if Bynum’s nose might be out of joint.

The thinking: With all the trade speculation involving the Lakers and Orlando center Dwight Howard, might Bynum be getting a little fed up with the Lakers’ alleged flirtations and their willingness to jettison him in the process?

Conducting trade discussions, even of the most exploratory nature, in private seems an impossibility in this 24/7 Internet age. By this point, Bynum surely knows he is the Lakers’ Plan B. The question Ding raises is, might Bynum use what leverage he has — as one of the league’s top two or three centers, as a Laker eligible for a contract extension that hasn’t been forthcoming and as one of the league’s most coveted free agents of 2013 if he gets that far out the door — out of spite, in return for having his name bandied about?

Maybe, Ding writes.

Well, does Bynum accept who was still the first-team All-NBA center ahead of him and understand this all cool business? Or does he let the personal disappointment that is definitely percolating seep all the way to the heart?

Put yourself in his size 18s, and remember trudging out there with the new knee brace in winning the Lakers’ 2009 championship against Howard and fighting through a surgery-requiring knee injury in winning the Lakers’ 2010 championship over Boston. Imagine reveling in your breakthrough season and then feeling unwanted despite your 30 rebounds in San Antonio in the Lakers’ best regular-season victory and unappreciated despite your 10-block triple-double against Denver in the Lakers’ best playoff victory.

Reports: Magic, Lakers, 76ers, Nuggets talking Dwight Howard trade?

By Ben Golliver | NBA Blogger

Dwight Howard trade talks are heating up again. (Getty Images)

I don't care if it takes Disney World, Disney Land, the Liberty Bell and Pike's Peak, get it done already.

The Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggers are reportedly engaged in 4-way trade talks concerning Dwight Howard, according to Yahoo Sports, but a deal is "[not] imminent."

There are multiple moving parts in the fluid talks, but the framework of a possible deal includes Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington going to the Lakers, Philadelphia guard Andre Iguodala going to the Nuggets, Los Angeles center Andrew Bynum moving to the 76ers, and Los Angeles forward Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Affalo going to the Magic, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The proposed deal includes the Magic also gaining draft picks and salary-cap relief, sources said.

SI.com has confirmed the talks, citing a source.

Howard publicly requested a trade last season and even gave a list of preferred destinations to Magic management. He later underwent season-ending back surgery that forced him to miss the playoffs and Orlando opted to fire coach Stan Van Gundy and part ways with GM Otis Smith. In their place, the Magic hired Jacque Vaughn and Rob Hennigan.

Trade talks won't affect Andrew Bynum's performance, attitude

The Lakers shouldn't worry about whether trade rumors will negatively affect Andrew Bynum's performance next season. (Reed Saxon / Associated Press)

By Mark Medina

August 8, 2012, 12:50 p.m.
Just like last year, the Lakers may go through most of the season with uncertainty surrounding their roster and leaving one of their marquee players twisting in the wind.

It won't exactly be a repeat episode. Pau Gasol isn't expected to publicly wonder whether the Lakers will keep him. The Lakers won't worry over upgrading at point guard, because it already acquired Steve Nash.

Instead, the scenario could involve two different characters. If a deal doesn't happen before the season starts, breathless trade reports will emerge on the Lakers' ongoing quest to secure Dwight Howard for Andrew Bynum.

It's ideal for the Lakers to have a definitive roster, but this season shouldn't be as worrisome. Last year, Mike Brown entered his first year as head coach with a limited training camp. The Lakers' quest to upgrade at point guard went unfulfilled after the nixed Chris Paul trade. And the Lakers were left without much of a bench after trading Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks. This year, the Lakers have a normal training camp, an elite point guard and an improved reserve unit led by Antawn Jamison.

But there's one very important component that makes the Bynum trade talks a non-issue: the Lakers center isn't going to fret about it.

This should hardly be surprising to anyone who's followed Bynum's seven-year career. Kobe Bryant advocated trading Bynum for Jason Kidd in that infamous amateur video in 2007. Bynum's name also has come up in trade discussions that have included Chris Bosh, Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony.

Report: Howard To Lakers In Mega-Deal?

August 9, 2012 · 2:16PM

A four-way mega-trade that, once and for all (well, for a while), ends our long, national Dwightmare? Or just more smoke and speculation?

It’s hard to tell but the four-team trade that has been discussed, according to Yahoo! Sports, to move Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers packs both intrigue and the prospect of all four participants – L.A., Denver, Philadelphia and Orlando – gaining something worthwhile. Or salvaging something, anyway.

Here are the broad strokes of a deal that “is not considered imminent, but the talks have grown serious over the course of this week,” wrote Adrian Wojnarowski, citing unnamed sources:

•Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Afflalo would head to Orlando. The Magic also would get draft picks in the package and salary-cap relief.

Report: Possible four-team trade in works for Dwight Howard

By Scott Gleeson, USA TODAYUpdated 38m ago Comments
Reprints & PermissionsMove over Olympics, Dwight Howard trade talk is back.

By Howard Smith, US Presswire
The Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggers are reportedly engaged in four-way trade talks involving Dwight Howard.

The Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets are reportedly engaged in four-way trade talks that would send Dwight Howard to the Lakers, according to a Yahoo! Sports report, but a deal is not "imminent."

From the Yahoo! Sports report:

There are multiple moving parts in the fluid talks, but the framework of a possible deal includes Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington going to the Lakers, Philadelphia guard Andre Iguodala going to the Nuggets, Los Angeles center Andrew Bynum moving to the 76ers, and Los Angeles forward Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Affalo going to the Magic, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Magic would have a better chance of moving Gasol in another deal to get further assets, sources said, and eliminate the risk of Bynum leaving them as a free agent in 2013. Nevertheless, there was still a sense that Gasol's and Bynum's destinations could be fluid in the talks. Either way, one would go to Orlando and the other to Philadelphia, sources said.

The proposed deal includes the Magic also gaining draft picks and salary-cap relief, sources said.

Howard, 26, is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and averaged 20.6 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 54 games last season.

b]Lakers Trade Rumors: Pau Gasol AND Andrew Bynum Could Go In Dwight Howard Deal[/b]

August 9, 2012 1:27 PM EDT

Trade talks between the Lakers and Magic surrounding Dwight Howard appear to be back on.

A deal between Los Angeles and Orlando fell through in July, in part, because of the teams' inability to find a third club to take on Andrew Bynum. The Magic don't want Bynum because he is a free agent in 2013. The Cavs and Rockets were two such teams that had been suggested as possible facilitators.

The latest potential trade would include both the Nuggets and 76ers. Several big names would be moved, and Bynum wouldn't be the only Lakers star headed somewhere else.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Pau Gasol might be dealt as well.

An agreement would send Howard and Al Harrington to L.A., Andre Iguodala to Denver, Bynum to the 76ers and Gasol and Aaron Affalo to Orlando. Nothing is imminent, but talks have become serious over the past few days.

We had better NOT be trading Andrew AND Pau for Howard and Al Harrington. Talk about a terrible trade. We're better off with Andrew and Pau than Howard and Al.

Ugh.

I don't believe this rumor. Perhaps it has been proposed, but I just highly doubt the Lakers would agree to that trade.

didn't Kobe say that Pau is staying as long as he's here? What you think he would do if they traded away Pau?
I'd rather just keep Bynum.

I cant justify shipping out Gasol and Bynum for Dwight, semi-washed up Harrington or not. The whole notion of the passing chemistry between Nash and Gasol is what's going to perpetuate the Princeton offense and create easy shots for both Kobe and Bynum, so I for one am completely up in arms against this trade. I would rather convince Barbosa to sign for the mini mid-level, hang onto Bynum and ride his increasing rise to full potential while maintaining a front-court dominant team. And are we certain Dwight's back will return to 100%? Please do not let this be so...

The way the rumor was told to me last night was:

Howard to the Lakers

Afflalo & Harrington & picks to Orlando

Iguodala to Denver

Bynum to Philly

In any event, I'm not in favor of sending Gasol out with Nash coming in UNLESS it nets a bonafide SF incoming with Howard. Otherwise best to just roll with Bynum & Gasol til the deadline.

I'd do it if it was Iguodala instead of Harrington.

But for Harrington this is an absolutely horrible deal--he's basically the same player as Jamison.

Reports: Lakers trying to deal Bynum, Gasol to get Howard

By JANIS CARR / THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER

It has been days since anyone mentioned Dwight Howard and the Lakers in the same sentence. But that period of silence is over.
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Lakers, Orlando Magic and two other teams are involved in “serious” trade talks that would bring Howard to the Lakers and send their two 7-footers elsewhere.

Although no trade is imminent, the framework of the deal would have Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington going to the Lakers, Philadelphia guard Andre Iguodala going to the Nuggets, Andrew Bynum moving to the 76ers, and Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Afflalo going to the Magic, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The proposed deal includes the Magic also gaining draft picks and salary-cap relief, according to Yahoo.

Reports continue from all sports news sources. Seems to be gaining steam rather than losing it as it has before.

I agree with the no's above but maybe we don't have the whole deal?

Maybe they don't either?

Report: Sixers in the mix for Bynum
By DENNIS DEITCH
dendeitch [ at ] gmail.com Posted: 08/09/12 08:16 pm
Updated: 08/09/12 08:17 pm

The 76ers have been trying to pry one of the Lakers’ big men away from L.A. for some time. That quest might be getting somewhere thanks to Orlando’s pressing need to deal Dwight Howard and Andre Iguodala’s sky-high trade value after an All-Star season and valuable performance with the U.S. Olympic team. According to a report from Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, among the several paths the Howard trade talks between the Lakers and Magic have gone down is a four-team discussion that includes the Sixers and Denver Nuggets. The report suggests the basic parts of a deal would have Howard and Denver’s Al Harrington going to L.A., Lakers All-Star center Andrew Bynum coming to the Sixers, Iguodala heading to the Nuggets, and L.A.’s Pau Gasol and Denver’s Arron Afflalo going to Orlando. A league source connected to one of the players confirmed the general details of the trade talks, but stressed that several other parts — namely, future draft picks as well as players selected in the June draft — were involved. The source also stressed that any trade wouldn’t be finalized until after the Olympics, since both Iguodala and Gasol are still in action and at risk of injury. There also are options being discussed that could send Gasol, 32, to Philly instead of Bynum, 24.

Report: Magic in talks for 4-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Lakers
8:32 p.m. EST, August 9, 2012|
By Josh Robbins, Orlando Sentinel

Two additional teams have surfaced in the Dwight Howard trade talks and potentially could pave the way for the disgruntled Orlando Magic center to end up with the Los Angeles Lakers sooner than later.

Word emerged Thursday, courtesy of Yahoo! Sports, that the Magic are discussing a possible four-team trade that also would involve the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers. The proposed deal would send Howard to the Lakers and could send Los Angeles' Pau Gasol, Denver's Arron Afflalo, cap relief and draft picks to the Magic.

The deal also could send Philly's Andre Iguodala to the Nuggets, L.A.'s Andrew Bynum to the Sixers and Denver's Al Harrington to the Lakers.

But all of those names could be in flux.

Magic officials kept mum Thursday.

David Lee, Bynum's agent, told the Orlando Sentinel early Thursday night that no team has contacted him or Bynum to see if Bynum would sign a contract extension in the months ahead or re-sign next summer, when Bynum is scheduled to become a free agent. Lee has maintained for weeks that, if a trade is imminent, a team probably first would ask the Lakers for permission to speak to him or Bynum about Bynum's long-term plans.

Some NBA observers speculated that the details of the Magic's talks with the Lakers, Nuggets and Sixers were leaked by the Magic in order to prompt Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to improve his offer for Howard.
