Didn't know much about this player until the Arizona game.
Was immediately impressed with his game. Can post up, outside game, can put it on the floor, solid footwork in the post. Decent D, rebounds.
Legit NBA PF/C size.
Don't sleep on Kaminsky, if he can add some strength, he'll be a solid pro. Too bad LA doesn't have a 2nd round pick this year, he'd definitely be on my draft board.

He looked good. But don't we have a better and more ready version of him in Kelly? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Kaminsky has legit C height, and has a back to the basket post game.
Can play like a center and make J's
I like this guy.
Kelly is more of a spot up guy who can put it on the floor, but no post game. |

Solid player (Kaminsky) no doubt. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think he'll struggle with issues of softness in the NBA--dude doesn't clear the D boards at 7 feet, and while he does play somewhat around the basket, he doesn't draw fouls well. And I'm not convinced he's *this* good at shooting either--dude shot quite poorly on jumpers his first two seasons. But man--he's agile as hell for a 7-footer--gets steals and blocks, and if he can couple that with improved shooting, he's interesting enough.
I don't think he's as good as Ryan Kelly though--Kelly always had a good track record of shooting through college, and dude drew a bunch of fouls. Kaminsky doesn't have those quirks, and comes with a lot more question marks. |

Also, have to watch more game tape of him to know the arc of his career. 1 great game shouldn't jump him into 1st round territory. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Kelly has post game, he just doesn't utilize it a lot because he's so skinny and gets pushed around.
If he puts on weight this summer I can see him playing a little more in the post next season. _________________ Kobe |

I don't see him as a first rounder but early second to mid seems about right.
If he was more of a PF than great. I just don't see the need for centers to have range like he does. Maybe this guy could usher in the era of stretch 5's.
I agree with Yinoma about R. Kelly being a better version of him. |
