Nice. I been wanting him on the Lakers since I saw his videos.
At the end I wanted Okafor, but I'm happy with this pick.
I can't wait to see what we do with signings and trades. _________________ Lakers win record when Kobe goes for 40+ points

Mitch: He's a great player. His choice of schools haven't been great, but he's a great player. |

I'm going to say that I wanted Okafor, but, as I've said and supported in my ideals, I'll support whomever we pick. I hope Okafor has an amazing career but welcome to the Lake Show, D'Angelo. We got a confident PG and now we can aim for some bigs.
Maybe Upshaw with our 27/34? |

I remember watching a college game in February and loved the way he played, but thought, no chance this Kid will be available at 4 or 5, we were so blessed getting the 2nd pick.
I also think it's a good sign that they must be confident in getting a big in free agency.
It seems ideal to have Kobe around for another year to ease some of the pressure off Clarkson and Russell, but I think both will be a good fit together.
I'm hoping Clarkson can continue to develop his outside shot and improve his defense, so he can maybe guard the other teams PG, due to his superior speed and athleticism, and Russell can be more the play maker on offense, but guard the SG on defense. |

I'm going to hope he lives up to the hype. Because the Lakers just chose him over a solid franchise player in Okafor. Sadly I think they chose wrong and it will bite them in the butt in the coming years. |

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the end. I guess the reports were right that Okafor underwhelmed in the 2nd workout. I will say this, Russell is a big PG, natural leader, outstanding court-vision, and probably reminded the FO of Magic. |

No chance;
Gasol is adamant about staying in Memphis. |
How about Love then? |

Memo to Byron: let DRuss shoot 3s. He's kinda good at that. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm so excited to be a Lakers fan right now. I've been a fan of his ever since I watched his highlights and wanted him to be a lakers. This was a Byron pick trust me. Mitch most likely wanted the big man. |

Sixers were VERY nervous about this scenario apparently today. They had Russell atop their board and didn't want to see Okafor here instead. |
