Are teenagers statistically more likely to use assault rifles in shootings?

Atlanta shooter, Deion Patterson, was 24 years old (used a pistol instead of an assault rifle)
Texas shooter, Mauricio Garcia, was 33 years old

I think both were trained to use firearms, Deion Patterson in the coast guard and Mauricio Garcia in the army.

Air Force: 17 - 39
Army: 17 - 35
Coast Guard: 17 - 31

Why not raise the minimum age to join armed forces from 18 to 21? Would that be more effective?

Biggest problem is lack of Red Flag Laws

I haven't followed closely but read the mall shooter was kicked OUT of the military for mental health issues

Released into society and guess the mentally ill soldier was allowed to keep owning guns so he could fantasize about using them to kill people

Why are so many American gun owners such chicken (bleep) monsters
Police get away with killing anyone and anything they consider a threat and our military kills 100s of thousands of Brown people in "wars"

Also fwiw I will guarantee Texas politicians are being helped by ES&S voting machines along with Kentucky

The average age of mass shooters is between 20 & 30. Raising the age to buy automatic rifles may slightly decrease the number of mass shootings. Banning the weapons would greatly decrease the number.

The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior 'righteous indignation' — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.

Met a man in his early 80s who was raised in a Catholic orphanage and he swore he'd never met anyone meaner than those Nuns. He'd been in a war too. Lol

No on rape but yes on sexual abuse and defamation. Five mil damages or so.

After he said she wasn't his type and then pointed her out as being his wife in a photo, lol...that's like stuff you only see in courtroom dramas on TV. You never know how these things will go with juries, but his ability to yap nonsense got him here and got him in deeper.

The part that cracked me up was when he realized he trapped himself and tried to pretend he got confused because the photo was "blurry".

Yeah, but this was a civil case. I'm going to wait before I start counting criminal ones.

Background checks should be mandatory in the US. I complain about California regulations a lot but they deserve credit for being proactive on gun purchases.

Of all the shenanigans he's pulled before and during in his brief political career, my money is on campaign finance violations.

Our political system is fine our politicians are corrupt. People like Trump, Santos, and DeSantis keep getting into office. There have to be fixes. For the life of me, I have no idea how to.

Fixes are easy.

1. Campaign Finance/Anti-Pac/Anti-Lobbying Laws
2. Anti-Corruption Laws (including prohibiting members of Congress from investing in publicly owned companies)
3. Make Arbitration Illegal
4. Make Class Actions easier to certify
5. Voting Rights Act (including anti-gerrymandering laws)
6. News media reform (although this will soon become outdated once traditional cable news is gone in 10-20 years).
