I agree with most of you guys.

Noel has more potential in my eyes. I'd do that trade, no questions asked.

Have to make sure he's healthy... have to be committed to breaking up the bench unit... have to be committed to sending an asset out to trade off Mozgov...

I almost prefer his contributions as a vet presence right now than to what Clarkson is bringing, and think he could even go for higher at the trade deadline maybe... but it's not a bad thought at all. I guess I wouldn't mind if LAL did this.

Randle and nance are pfs.

Noel is a great defensive presence at center.

I would have agreed during preseason. But we did just sign a veteran for 16m for FOUR YEARS, and a backup for 7m per

Do we want to put 23m per year on the bench for 1 position?

They are, but how is he going to get minutes over Nance, Randle and Mozgov? He might get around 10 minutes a game, but that's not worth giving up JC for while looking for another guard to play on this team.

After Noel's fit with the media yesterday about his current situation, I can bet you 10 teams called this morning and low balled the 76ers hard. No team is going to give them a fair value trade knowing that they HAVE to trade him before the deadline or risk getting nothing at all. And if a team really really wanted him they could always wait until the season is over and try their luck in free agency. JC might be the best player they could get because they waited too long to trade Noel

Jc will never be as good as Lou and Lou has good years left and never questions his role. Jc imo is close if not at his ceiling

The Lakers are not trading Clarkson. The 76ers would help pack Noel's bags for a player with Clarkson's potential. Clarkson isn't close to a finished product. He's exactly what they need at guard. It's great that Mitch is the GM he knows the talent on this team.

Knowing the Lakers, they will be looking to move a less valuable piece like Young or Lou, not Clarkson.

It will be interesting to see what they can get when everyone in the NBA knows they have to make a deal combined with the fact he is a free agent after this season with an injury histroy

I'm a big Noel fan. I feel like he would be huge for us defensively and he's young enough to grow with Randle/Ingram/DLo on offense. If I'm the Lakers, I'm willing to trade anything outside of our young core for Noel. I would look for a deal around Lou.

With that said, I doubt the Lakers go after Noel unless they have a 3rd team for Mozgov. Noel/Zubac would compliment each other well at the C position

A healthy Noel is perfect for our core. You ship JC as quick as possible along with two gift wrapped Lakergirls as a bonus for the Sixers generosity.

Does a Clarkson trade to the Sixers involves Dave20 moving to Philly as well? Just kidding dude...

If rumors are correct, I think the Sixers are looking for too much for their guys. Like Boston's two #1s, which they'll never get for anyone except Embiid.

I have zero doubt they move him. He's 24 with a full college career. This is who he is. Sorry. He's gone by feb deadline or next year at latest.

Voted "no" on this one. Only way Clarkson/Black are moved for Noel is if there is another trade in the works involving one of our front court players for a wing player in order to better balance the team. This is where things get tricky, and I'd rather Mitch & co. stand pat unless the moves significantly improve the team. A team of:

Moz/Noel/Zubac
Randle/Nance/TRob
Deng/Ingram/MWP
Young/Lou
DLo/Calderon/Bilbo

does not make us significantly better.

In another tread I had the idea of moving Randle & Calderon for Denver's Wilson Chandler. Paired with the trade proposed here you'll get the following team:

Moz/Noel/Zubac
Deng/Nance/TRob
Chandler/Ingram/MWP
Young/Lou/Chandler
DLo/Lou/Bilbo

Definitely a stretch, but I can see this team meshing well with the type of play Luke is trying to create going forward. Here, Lou would back up both guard spots and Chandler would start at SF while providing spot minutes at SG. This would free up PT at the forward spots for Ingram and Nance to continue getting minutes to continue their development. If healthy this team may play around .500 ball, which may put us in a good position to sign a big name in free agency.

Biggest conundrum in trading Clarkson for Noel is the Moz/Noel tandem at C. Unless the Lakers find a way to move Moz there will be wayyy too much money tied up at center if Lakers pay to keep Noel in the summer. As mentioned by justsomelakerfan, I just can't see this trade going down unless Moz is moved.

Any ideas for how Lakers can move Moz? I think it will be hard for the Lakers to sign/trade for any C this early into his contract. No to Noel until this is resolved.

Good luck finding a team that would want Mozgov. Not many teams need Centers right now, which is why the 6ers wont find the best offers for Noel to begin with.
