| He was a fixture of local news. He also created a lot of entertainment programs for those outside of the LA market so he was also well known in other markets. |

Rubin was definitely THE local entertainment reporter in Tinsel Town for good reason. But my favorite Sam moment was when he was doing a piece with Samuel L. Jackson and got him confused with Laurence Fishburn and Sam J gleefully would not let him off the hook and playfully roasted him.

| Pretty much the entire airtime has been dedicated to honoring him since it was announced he passed away at around 1pm. I'm sure it hit the station hard as he was one of the big names there. |
