For Zion, hope his knees just need rest and is nothing close to Greg Oden's. |

I find LAL in a peculiar situation because the FO is like a top FO for a lottery team on a rebuild, more so than a high end coach with an offensive coordinator, the most elite of training staffs, for a championship team. |
Thats why I wanted Jerry West so bad. He wouldve given them the blueprint for putting together a championship FO. Oh well. |

Phoenix can't do that.
The 76ers, can.
LAL, could do better still. |
You mentioned Phoenix and it brought up my thoughts about the former GM (McDonough) coming from the Boston FO.
Considering the number of draft picks that Ainge has had over the years, Boston has very little to show for it in veterans on the current roster. They have mostly players still on rookie contracts and veterans signed as free agents.
Ainge has had more draft picks and a few more higher drafts picks than McDonough had to work with, but the general theme of underperforming when drafting applies to Ainge as well. |
BOS generally speaking, doesn't draft well. Very average despite all of those picks. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

People who did their homework know Zion has had injury issues since HS related to this.
Oden, OTOH, had Portland's training team trying to make him gain gross weight too quickly. Oden was like 245 while trying to heal a knee injury and the team wanted him between 260-275 when he came back?
Like, that's not how this works.
Heal the body, then stress it, not both at the same time.
This is ESPECIALLY why I didn't want Brandon Ingram to start trying to add weight from the jump. He was already projected to do big improvements during the offseason. It's just taxing the body, so no wonder why he became a bit more injury prone in his 2nd and 3rd year.
Personally, I don't think he should have been playing those kind of NBA starter minutes because I didn't think his body was as NBA ready, but this is falling in line with why I think some players should redshirt a year and develop after they get drafted. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

IMHO, I think West would have kept the squad, not go for LeBron necessarily, and waited for AD's free agency. Not sure it would have worked, but the timing and development of the team align much easier with a longer window. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Coby. I never really liked Jamal Murray. Even had Hield over him. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

When we still had our draft pick I wanted Coby White. But that's not a knock on DG. He's looked good this preseason as well. Just like Coby's two way potential. He could be special if he continues to shoot the rock like he's doing now. _________________ When the world grows. Don't choose to stay the same.

The Nuggets are insane for giving J. Murray 30+ mill a year over 4 years starting next season. I'll enjoy watching him and Barton fight for late game touches in the playoffs for years to come. Neither one is a reliable, playoff go to scorer. Both are selfish players. _________________ When the world grows. Don't choose to stay the same. |

I really hope he trims down a bit, he looks a bit heavy for his frame right now which can't be good on his knees |

Coby is going to be a good one. Bulls did well with that pick. |

His gait seems off. Looks like he waddles instead of walk |

A severe injury has been ruled out for Zion Williamson’s right knee, but he is expected to miss period of weeks to start regular season, league sources tell ESPN. Pels are clearly treating injury with an abundance of caution but there’s no shortage of confidence on full recovery. |
Get healthy kid.
And stupid Woj. Can't you start your sentence with, "This is not a severe injury" or "Although not a sever injury"? |

This is the biggest fear with Zion. Injuries. So much torque and stress he puts on that body with his amazing quickness and explosiveness. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Say Zion has injury bugs, who will be the best player from this draft in say 4 years? Ja? |

Yea, it could be.
And that list doesn't even include 2 of the arguably best shooters in the class in Garland and Reddish?
Do these guys seem more like Beal|McCollum B+ level players at their peaks? |
