for daily news it's apnews/reuters/npr
nyt and wapo for the deep dives
wsj, cnn, thehill for color
foxnews, 4chan /pol/, theblaze, breitbart, youtube, facebook for the subversive nutjob stuff
for local I like nbclosangeles, latimes, ocregister
This is pretty much my list except I watch less of Fox lately as it is getting too galling tho' I like to see what the old folks are watching. And I stay away from the really frothy right/nut job stuff as I cannot stomach it. I get some of the highlights on various Twitter feeds that are obviously filtered thru more liberal eyes but I cannot go down that dark hole myself. More power to you that you can.
And local for me is San Diego area. _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman

I really like Hill TV’s Rising on YouTube.
I actually liked Krystall Ball before she did that show. There is too much "both sides are the same" going on with that show for my taste.
The Hill's higher ups Finkelstein and Solomon are not people I align with.
But their articles are normally a solid resource. Reliable and accurate reporting with their written work. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Where did you watch her before then? The Cycle?
Why do you think The Hill, a conservative outlet, runs a leftist show like Rising? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I saw her on Bill Maher. I saw her on MSNBC. Don't know if it was "The Cycle" or she was a pundit guest or whatever. She pushed for some progressive policies I liked.
I think the Rising is trying to convert left leaning people by downplaying some key differences between the parties via appealing to class based arguments. Don't get me wrong I think income and wealth inequality is thee most important issue in 2020 America.
But to jump from there to where I've seen them jump. Pretty much lumping both parties together like they are the same. Downplaying other issues. Borderline encouraging voter apathy. It's not my cup of tea. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

That was her shtick on Maher too. The establishment Dems are just republicans lite... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
NYT, msnbc (Maddow's good for in-depth POVs), PBS, would love a free code for Wapo, don't wanna pay for 2 sites, and I read links to other sites posted here such as Politico. I let you bums do the legwork for me.
Fox here n there usually sticking to Chris Wallace and daytime crew, not the vampire squad Tucker/Laura/etc. I think some of that crap is necessary to see how crazy their reporting is on a current event. Sometimes it's interesting just to see what CNN, FOX, MSNBC is reporting on at a given moment and it can be 3 different subjects, seen that many times. Wallace generally is a good interviewer. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

So why would a conservative news outlet sponsor such a populist program? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Which conservative news outlet! Ball is kind of a decent looking equivocator and depending on the need she can fill the slot for a Democrat, a progressive left winger, a neutralist, what have you. She doesn’t really have any meat on the bones, which is ironic because behind the scenes she’s apparently a sharp political strategist. She’s just playing for the cameras. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. The Hill is a conservative outlet.
What role is she playing on Rising? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

She’s the populist lefty that equates the democrats with the republicans. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

What’s the end goal of this? Why would a conservative news outlet sponsor such a program? Are you saying she is actually a conniving person? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Why would a conservative outlet like a host or guest that helps dull the democratic alternative? Gee, I don’t know. I can’t be inside her head, but she seems fairly opportunistic and aware of what gets gigs. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. But they criticize Republicans and Trump as well. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I may have been wrong. She may have been on that Hill show by the time she was on Maher. I can appreciate progressives speaking on the merits of progressive party.
But when it comes to lumping the Democratic party as a whole with Republicans. That's a conversation so disingenuous. It isn't worth having. And it encourages voter apathy (something the higher ups at the Hill want).
FWIW, Bill Maher is a Democrat who does something equally as dumb. When he spends all show complaining about lefties on Twitter criticizing him and college kids expressing their freedom of speech. And somehow that's excuses Republicans. Because in a world where the PC police and "social justice warriors" are out to get you, Republicans had no where else to turn but Trump. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
