Lakers got the perfect trade target with Schroder who fits much better than DeRozan, is more reliable and doesn't have an injury history like Oladipo, and better for the long term since he's younger than CP3. Lakers potentially might have their starting PG for the next 3 years, that's how hyped I am about Schroder and fits with Davis so much too.

I’d be interested in harkless now. If the lakers could get ibaka and harkless they’d be pretty set

Especially if you keep kuzma, THT, Caruso

Need to figure out who comes back at backup C and maybe backup PG

I think the lakers may look at Jeff Teague to replace rondo

It’ll be interesting but I do hope harkless is priority #1 now

So apparently we can't make this trade until after we select, due to the Steipen rule (not being allowed to trade 1sts in consecutive years)

In that case, when can this trade become official?

Well at least now we start to see the dominoes falling into place.

Nice addition in a position of need but also the trade off of losing Greens defensive presence. Disappointed to see #28 going too. Was hoping to see the pick used on a PG.

Going to be interesting to see how this effects the return of other players since it is not a 5 for 1 Paul type trade.

If players opt in or re-sign, I think a rotation of Bradley and KCP starting and Schroeder and Caruso as the 2nd unit is solid.

Hope the Harkless speculation is true. Lakers need to replace Green’s defense.

True...I expect KCP to resign (hoping) not sure about Bradley....Schroeder will start IMO....I'm not sure Bradley opts in and KCP maybe asking for more than $10 million...who knows?

Why start Schroeder? James is the primary ball handler when in the game and I don’t see that changing. That is who he is, and who we want him to be. Also want to keep above average defenders around James as much as possible so he can “pace” himself on that end. JMO

There will be overlapping mins on the court but for most of Schroeder’s mins he should be running the second unit.

I thought Scroeder wanted no part of any LA team. Interesting.

Yeah it's not going to be much more, if anything at all, than Green and 28

Maybe a future 2nd, too

I think Bradley will opt out and Rondo will return. Rondo is close to AD and there's mutual respect with Bron. Dennis and KCP to start. Rondo and Caruso off the bench. Or Caruso starts with Schroder off the bench.

Honestly I forgot what its like having a GM that makes smart moves for players we need. No more "LAKERS SIGN FELTON FOR 2 YEARS" type deals (I replaced Felton as an example to --- Kaman, Boozer, Lin etc. we used to do.

Need another big wing (2-3) defender now, but good work holding back Kuz if the deal goes through as reported.

28/DG for Schroeder is (bleep) amazing.

I hope we don’t get a “it fell through” moment.

Not a very good 3pt shooter. DG might just have a down year because I like his career numbers but whatever. It's not like DG or Shroedder will be vital to our success anyways.

The guy averaged 19 ppg and 4 asssits...what do u mean not vital to our success....very vital cuz Bron will load manage and Rondo is unknown.

He also shot almost 40% from 3 last year (better than DG btw), so the OP was off on all counts.

With Dennis Schröder, the Lakers could get another solid playmaker who has become an effective catch-and-shoot threat as well.

He made 41% of 273 catch-and-shoot 3s in 2019-20.

Bradley needs to step up and return the respect given by the players and organization.

Lakers need his defensive intensity.

Trading for Pau sure sucked. Hated those two titles.
