Triple-Double King Russell Westbrook is headed to the Lakers now that the Washington Wizards have swooped in ahead of Sacramento to take the Lakers' trade package headlined by Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell.

Breaking: The Lakers are near a deal to acquire the Wizards’ Russell Westbrook for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and a 2021 first-round pick, sources tell @wojespn.

It's pretty darn amazing to consider that Kuzma, KCP and Harrell and the 22nd got Russell Westbrook. Particularly when you consider that Indiana wouldn't even trade the 13th pick for KCP and Kuzma. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
Trading the 22nd pick for an aging PG that relies on his athleticism is a horrible deal.
Wiz also looking to flip Kuz/Trez to Nets for DInwiddie. Which just goes to show how much of an overpay this is.
This trade also means there is no real slot to bring Schroder back. So we lose him for nothing. With Buddy at least we might keep the pick and can re-sign Schroder and have him as a later trade asset.
Just the worse possible trade for us. No depth and we got a player that is horrible fit next two our big 2. And who is only getting worse.
If anything the Suns series taught us it was our biggest need. Now we add a player that nobody guards in the playoffs. We literally dominated the Rockets last year by not guarding him.
