So true, and I appreciate this too.

Also - great G4 by AR! Nice to finally beat Denver again in a playoff game.

Per NBA's match-up data (grain of salt needed), here's how the primary defenders for the Lakers have fared against Jamal Murray this series:

Austin Reaves - 12-39 FG
Gabe Vincent - 6-11 FG
Spencer Dinwiddie - 2-6 FG
D'Angelo Russell - 1-4 FG

Reaves has been excellent defending Murray, finding him in transition back to defense, staying connected, fighting over screens. He does a great job funneling him to Davis too.

Murray has been bodying Vincent and shooting over him.

AR struggles against physical and quick players. Murray is neither

Murray isn't the quickest guard, that's true. But, he can be physical, though. Especially against smaller guards. Reaves is doing an excellent job of standing Jamaal up, when Jamaal tries to shoulder into him. Reaves is also making sure he stays down, not biting on pump fakes, and contesting as best he can.

All this energy expended on defense is obviously affecting his offense. But, that's where we need DLo to get it going more consistently, as well as Rui getting more involved, offensively.

Murray is shooting under 40% in every game of the series. Never thought Lakers would defend him that well. AR is a big part of that.

We defended him pretty well in the regular season too, he just made too many impossible shots.

tbh if Murray played this way last year we would be hanging #18. Not sure if it's injury or just an unsustainable hot streak last year (or both)

Hes always been like this and why i think hes been quite overrated.. Hes always hurt and has crap games often.. Nuggets/Jokic winning games just hides this fact and nobody really cares or notices he plays bad a lot

Good ending for AR tonight. He just needs to progress over the summer..Hoping he can get try and get back some foot speed feel like he's lost a step this entire season vs last and don't know if that's from summer ball and fatigue, injury or something else. Also needs to learn to be a little more imposing on defensive end on players the way he was with Murray (consistency has been lacking there for him against others).

Not just him. The team as a whole were missing those freebies. Dinwiddie missed 2 free throws, on a trip. LeBron missed two free throws. And, the other guys split on their attempts. Only Prince was perfect from the line.

We missed 9 as a team.

Love AR. He had like 10 points in the 4th last night no? He also was a fingertip away from that last Murray shot.

Also Jamal Murray is an absolute beast. I would say I wish we drafted him instead of BI, but what’s the point. The Lakers and the loud cry baby fans would have had him traded cause he wasn’t Michael Jordan in year 2.
